It's the summer before fifth year at Hogwarts. Harry is at Grimmauld Place where he feels drawn to a room. What he finds behind the door is a library, and Harry is surprised when he realizes he is eager to learn. Then he gets the news that give him hope: he's been accidentally expelled from Hogwarts, and he needs to be sorted again. Everyone is sure Harry will go straight back to Gryffindor but that is not what Harry wants. I don't own the characters, all credits to J.K Rowling. I don't support her views but I still love this story and will always. Cover art is not mine, credits to the owner. This was heavily inspired by Evitative by Vichan and there may be a lot of similarities, especially in the first few chapters but I promise it will not be the same.

Harry breaks up with Ginny again after the war. Ron and Ginny are pissed at him. Hermione stays neutral, but Harry's got severe PTSD and just wants to leave it all behind. He becomes an Animagus - a beautiful Belgian Malinois. He resolves to never switch back and runs out into the wild for years. Draco Malfoy is done with his year in prison and no magic parole, but he choses not to go back to the wizarding world. He still uses magic, but he works at a muggle bank, drives an auto and has a fully furnished muggle home. Then one day... a Belgian Malinois chases a deer across the road... right in front of Draco's car. Draco saves him and takes him home. Hiliarity ensues with Harry trying to escape and annoy Draco Malfoy. But Draco isn't dumb. He starts to realize that his dog... is way too smart for a dog.

Harry is lost trying to find the 9 3/4 train but instead of encountering Ron's family he crashes against our dear blond Draco Malfoy. Important Notes: I do not own any of this characters they are owned by J. K. Rowling and my story is an og I came up with! (At least 95% of it I must say the concept of Draco and Harry meeting on King Cross Station or on the Train has been used already)

The 2nd wizarding world war was won, though not without a lot of loss, Harry was exhausted, finally having the time to realize that Dumbledore didn't care, he had been used left and right, and Dumbledore was at majority fault, he ended up in the forbidden forest, he didn't know when or how he got there, only that now he was in a small clearing surrounded by trees, the sky dark, he ended up falling asleep.. and he when he awoke again he was back in his cupboard? it was the day of the zoo outing.. so it wasn't a dream.. but how did he end up back in time? who cares, all he knew is that he was going to change things. Hogwarts students all go back to school for their eight year. People are gone forever, never coming back, and the school has been repaired, as best it can be. Harry comes back distant and loathing -as expected considering the circumstances- not knowing what to do, where to go or what purpose he serves now that Voldemort is dead. Wondering though the halls like a ghost, lost and traumatised, not even sure if he wants to keep going. After all, what purpose does he serve now? Voldemort is dead, Harry killed him, which is what his life has been leading up to since the day he earned his lightening scar, so what now? With Harry's mind getting foggier and foggier with guilt and grief, and with the added nightmares he gets every night that bring it all back, not knowing where he's going in life, it's hardly surprising Harry doesn't know whether or not he's even going to make it through the year at all. Draco comes back to school, on probation from the ministry, determined to make something of his life. With his knew found freedom, Draco becomes more determined than ever to lead the life he's always wanted, far away from the punishing judgement and strict way of life his father had made him live. He wants to set things straight, mend the broken ties he had left behind and prove his ability to think for himself, show how different a person he truly was to the one he had pretended to be for so long. But Draco is still broken inside from the years of cruel punishment and threats he endured daily, traumatised by the things he had witnessed and been forced to do. He barely eats, hardly ever sleeps, but isn't ready to give up on the life he's always wanted for himself and can now have. Hopefully. Will Harry be able to will himself to live through the year? Will Draco let the trauma of the past dictate his future?
