A short poem drawn from my understanding of my dream. My dream was a metaphor for what I was going through at that moment.

"Slumber // Dream to Recovery" is a look into the dark parts of a child with an abusive home life. It acts as a memoir of poetry, foretelling the painful and cataclysmic events as well as the path of recovery taken to get to a lighter place. "This book was written about the darkest period of my life. The time in my life where I was scared to come home in fear of getting emotionally beaten into the ground. This book acted as my therapy. After spending almost a year with this project, I feel much brighter than I've ever been. I'm honored to be able to share the dark and my light, with you." Primrose has been studying lucid dreaming every since before she can remember. Now she is a senior in high school and is becoming more successful with her lucid dreaming practices. There is also another student by the name of Lucy that catches her attention. Primrose becomes very fond of Lucy and even starts dreaming about her. When she begins dreaming about Lucy, her dreams begin to become harder for her to control. Lucidity will be a mysterious, romantic, and even dramatic read.
