Leena had spent her thirty-two years with an unhealthy knack for noticing subtle details that the average person easily overlooked. Having such an incredible eye for detail has made her stand out from everyone else and land herself in a world of alienation.
Everyone knew that all it took was sixty seconds for Leena to pinpoint every secret and fetish they locked away from the world. Being a private eye became her only connection to the world that she felt lonely. At least, that was until he appeared.
She was determined to figure out if this man was a figment of her imagination as a way to fill in the isolation and disconnection she felt in the world or if he was more than meets the eye. For that to be possible, then Leena would have to abandon her wits and learn to let herself blindly trust someone.
-Reign, the mystery man in Leena's life, soon learns he too is faced with a woman who shouldn't exist. In life, he knew two things to be truth, one: evidence was the only truth to all facts and two: lawyers weren't the only sharks in the ocean people needed to fear.
If there was no physical evidence, then there was no case worth his time. He was a man of facts and hard proof. As a lawyer, he wore the term "shark" well. From his cold demeaner and even colder heart, he was notorious for being the megalodon of Boston; the city he hated and loved simultaneously.
Truth will always prevail no matter how pretty the package you wrap the truth inside. No one was worth trusting to keep secrets if the price is worth betraying for. His reputation left him isolated, but he preferred it that way. At least, he did until she appeared.
Leena held no proof of being anything more than a figment of his derangement. He tried to ignore her presence each time she appeared in his office, until the sound of a thud from her contact with the desk echoed the room.
He must abandon all desire for physical proof if he plans on proving she truly is more than just a part of his imagination.
