***There are lots of visuals in this book!*** More than a century after the great war that nigh doomed the dragons to extinction, the last of them are pitted against each other in a brutal struggle for power, freedom, and security. Once the dominant species in the world, most people in the present day believe the dragons to be long extinct, lost to the demands of a war that has long since been left to the history books. When the last dragons are raised to merely a shadow of their former glory, blood will rain from the sky, and the highest towers will glow red, like so many candles.

Leader from every country gathered for a solution and their solution was the moon. It would be a voluntary system, those who whished to stay and those who wish to leave, and soon peace was found on both worlds. But the Earth is dying, those who stayed consumed it's natural resources and are now looking for an escape. Those living on the moon refuse to allow them to come up, saying it will destroy the world they worked so hard to create, creating conflict and fire again. Elyse was born on the moon, growing up in the farmer district in peace, not knowing the heat of the fire from generations ago. She hopes to not only save her people, but those on Earth itself. But how could she succeed when she's only a farmer girl?
