"I take back every nice thing I ever said to you," I said. My head fell to the table with a thud. "Sorry, I have a no-return policy," Newt replied. "All of your sweet-nothing's have already been stored in the bank." "I'll burn the bank down." The table muffled my words. "I'll sue you for more sweet-nothings." I rolled my eyes, too tired to reply. Newt leaned back in his seat and took a sip of his chocolate milk. We were quiet for a moment until he spoke up again. "You'll be hearing from my lawyer," he muttered coyly with a smile. // Newt Lahey is known for his absolutely horrible luck. It's a curious thing, because he's also the friendliest, most patient, kind kid in the senior class. Everyone knows he's happy, even if they can't understand why under his circumstances. Thomas Freehold used to be popular. He took a major fall when he cheated on his girlfriend, the most popular girl in the grade. Now, as most of the grade turns their back on him in disgust, he finds that there's really only one person who seems to forgive him for his mistakes, accept him for his faults. It sucks that that person is Newt Lahey, but Thomas isn't really in a position to be too greedy anymore. It's an odd friendship, blooming from odd circumstances. But somehow, miraculously, it works. As the two grow closer, in friendship and in love, Thomas learns a very important lesson: Not everything is as it seems. Newt, of course, is the prime example of that.

Dylan is with his love Brittany Robertson, he joins the cast of the maze runner and becomes best friends with his co-star Thomas Brodie Sangster but his world is flipped as he finds himself having a love relationship with Thomas but is hiding it from from the media. Thomas says as his voice cracks. "I know that you broke up with your girlfriend for me but...it's not like that with Britt. She's..." Dyl says biting his lip as tears fell down his face. "She's your first, you still love her" Thomas says looking up to meet Dylan's gaze. Thomas walked out of the room leaving Dylan feeling like his heart just got ripped out of his chest, he loved Thomas but something bound him to Britt. "What was it" Dylan asked himself
