Fall into Chaos is meant to be my love-letter to the series. While this can still be enjoyed with a minimal understanding of the series, it does help to know your stuff! The story is meant to really unravel the characters of the franchise I love. Really highlight their flaws, strengths, motivations, all that. And it was fun imagining a darker tone to Sonic the Hedgehog, like seeing a meaningful struggle for Sonic *coughcoughSonicForcescough*. Lastly, trust me, I know what this is. A Sonic fan story. But, don't worry. The fan characters are non-existent...kinda. The story is actually cohesive, makes for what I truly think is a thought-provoking, genuinely fun story! With plenty of Sonic's trademark cheesiness and personality. So with all that being said, please. Enjoy Fall into Chaos.

Everything that burnt bright became grey with every flower that decayed. My smile wasn't real anymore. I hardly slept. The world was growing without me, and I wanted to keep myself intact. I wanted a way out, but the world wouldn't listen nor understand. I thought I had done everything right, but I guess we all make mistakes out of desperation.
