"Madam?" I call after her. She stops and turns. At least she's listening. "My name wasn't called." I said. Already fearing her response. "Yes. I am aware of that fact." She nodded. My face lost all color and I cry, "Why Madam? Why am I not in the recital?" "Because you lack both technique and discipline. She tells me as if this is the most obvious thing in the world. I glance around the room and notice that everybody's eyes are on us. Mostly me, though. My face reddens with embarrassment and the effort it takes to hold back my tears. "But I have passion! Please!" I plead desperately. Her mouth turns into a thin, white line as she scowls at me in distaste. She lifts her chin, "You must prove yourself. Leave. Think on it and come back tomorrow." New story! I plan on being more active on this one, I have been thinking of writing a story like this for a long time so please read till chapter 3 at least, I have a good feeling about this book.
