I came to The School because I was tired of feeling lost - tired of feeling like I didn't matter. I thought a quiet place might help me breathe again. But the calm here doesn't soothe you... it stalks you. Students vanish. Lights flicker. Whispers curl around my name like they've been waiting for me. And every shadow seems to reach for her. Bruce watches the hallways like he's protecting something he won't admit. Bilton hides his fear behind jealousy and sharp smiles. And Kairaness... she looks at me like she already knows what's coming - like she's afraid she won't survive it. I didn't come here to be a hero. I didn't come here to save anyone. But when The School chooses someone, it doesn't let go. And it chose her. So if this place wants her, it'll have to go through me. Because I won't lose her - not here, not like this, not ever.

Will he manage to heal his old wounds, or will this town open up new ones? This is a short story of around 7-15 chapters. English is my second language, and I wish to improve my writing with this.
