Beneath the shadow of an ancient mountain lies an entire civilization of Pokémon who were banished long ago, forced to survive in the caverns. To the Surface, they are rebels, exiles, and criminals. To themselves, they are survivors. When Finch, an adventurous and free-spirited Jolteon from the Surface, is found half-dead in the caverns, his fate becomes entwined with Kuro, a careful and reserved Umbreon of the Underground. With time, the two slowly begin to realize that the line that separates their worlds is much thinner than they both were taught. Invisible tethers quickly form between Kuro, Finch, and a cast of characters fed up with the society their ancestors have formed. This is the story of how their crossroads tore down the walls keeping these two worlds apart. However, somewhere, deep in his heart, lied a murderous, dudgeon rage that silently put the entire town in danger. One by one, female victims interacted with Junior... and disappear overnight. Some underground bunker slightly remote from the town entrance that was reeking with the putrid stench of dead bodies, and Junior escalating down a downwards spiral, desperately seeking the answers of his wavering sanity, and hoping to finally put down the demon inside him once and for all...

How does this change things? From what I've seen, this pairing isn't all that popular, but I always kinda liked it. Maybe because I like childhood friend pairings, maybe because Alan and Stella made me like Jolteon/Sylveon pairings, but I think it's pretty cute. Gonna be a bit of a slowburn, though, in terms of both romance and character development. Also, this isn't gonna be a big thing against Speed x Lazuli, I also like Speed x Lazuli (probably because i like tsunderes), but it's just not a focus of this fic.
