An Indian girl came to the US because of her father's job, and she tells about her expectations compared to her experiences and how she felt after starting this new temporary life

Alex was a young boy who lived in a house where food and care were provided to the children without parents. He did not enjoy the life that he had until one day he and several other orphans talked about an amazing place called the Castle of Treasures. It was said to hold a lot of gold that nobody owned, so Alex and his company set off on a quest to discover the place and what was hidden inside it. The trek was strenuous and demanded a tremendous effort before they even knew what they were going to find or whether or not it was worth it.

Without even realizing it, she began to fiddle with the silver band on her left hand, the small diamonds on it catching the light every so often. "Alright, but only this one and then you're going to bed." She climbed into bed with me and I curled up against her side, smothering my face in her comforting figure. Her slim fingers began to run through my uncontrollable curly hair, and her eyes glossed over as she replayed the scene in her mind for the umpteenth time. The smile never once left her face. "This is the story of how I met my soulmate..." ~ . ~ When I was 7 years old, I would always wish that I could live in my own fairytale. I would have the perfect life, and then my perfect prince would come and find me and we would live "happily ever after." Now, I'm 17 and not a damn thing has changed.

The girl sighed hopelessly and cupped her face with her hands. "Can you leave? Please?" She hated her life right now, how everything was going, how everything had just went, how life smacked her with the utmost horrible things in the face. Everything was silent for a second, the boy not daring to speak. They stayed like that for a moment before he stood up and offered a hand to the girl.
