Sad Sundays is my weekly space to share melancholic poetry, words that help me navigate the stillness, the weight, and the quiet storms of recovery. Each Sunday, I post a new piece that I've written, using poetry to process my journey through detox and rehab, to face the difficult parts of healing, and to find meaning in the silence. Every poem is written by hand with help from the Rhymezone platform. This series is as much for me as it is for anyone who finds comfort in knowing they're not alone on their gray days. I will eventually try to tie most of my work together into a larger piece, but first and foremost, this will function as a collection of my writings while I am going through detox. There may be an underlying story, but perhaps not. Find out next week, and join me for a Sad Sunday moment. New Upload every Sunday at 18:00 (6 PM) German time - CET/CEST (UTC+1/UTC+2).

A collection of short stories inspired by stories I used to hear as a child whenever the power went out, now retold in whatever way I find interesting. Some will be paranormal/fantastical in their nature, others set in the mordern world. I hope these can provide some comfort, entertainment, nostalgia or even inspiration for your own stories.

Kih is a scholar from the Glauchi civilization, one of the many peoples who inhabit the Rock: a vast expanse of caves and tunnels where the only source of light is the Elovalgys, the stone of life. This resource is capable of producing light and heat, but it can only be found in veins deep underground and rapidly depletes, leading to a continuous cycle of wars and conflicts to seize the most productive mines. The constant darkness is not a problem for a species that has been accustomed to it for millennia, but a new kind of darkness takes root in Kih's mind the moment he receives news of his late brother's death. The loneliness is total, the melancholy oppressive, and only the spark of one last academic assignment in the remote Nugared caves on the edge of the Great Chimney allows his last embers of hope to burn a little longer. A long and perilous journey ensues, an ascent contrary to the flow of Mother Gravity in pursuit of a glimmer of wonder as feeble as a firefly in the void and yet laden with a promise beyond all imagination and deepest darkness. A baby? On a battlefield? Marcus is a clerk in the Imperial army. When he finds an abandoned baby on a battlefield, he has no idea what to do with her. His best friend is no help; he thinks Marcus is a sucker for taking the kid in. The slave who ends up babysitting the child is no better; she thinks Marcus has ulterior motives - bad ones. Not only that, but two mysterious female assassins appear on the scene. Whether they intend to harm the baby or protect her, Marcus isn't sure. It doesn't help that the assassins have magical cloaks that allow them to turn into birds at any time. Marcus and his friends soon find themselves caught up in things they doesn't understand: the child has some connection to an ancient prophecy, one that could have implications for fate of the Empire itself.

In the golden age of ancient Egypt, young Khufu is born into greatness - but shows none of it. While his father, the mighty Pharaoh Sneferu, rules millions and commands armies, Khufu spends his days obsessively trying to do the one thing everyone insists is impossible: stack four simple stones. Mocked by his father, exiled after a disastrous debut at court, and sent to a distant military camp to "find honor," Khufu struggles to leave his strange passion behind. Yet when war erupts and Egypt faces certain destruction, it is precisely this strange, stubborn obsession that reveals a new way of seeing the world - and a path no one else could imagine. From a misunderstood child to an unlikely hero, Khufu's journey is a tale of perspective, persistence, and the quiet genius hidden in the things we fail at again and again. Long before he built the greatest monuments on Earth, he learned the secret of stacking stones - and changed Egypt forever.

This story is about how the bad things in this world can chip away at your well-being, and shows that sometimes, all you need is a little seed of hope to get going again. P.S. I hope this doesn't turn any readers away, but it's supposed to be a symbolism-type thing, but I don't think it works well. Please comment what you think about it.

In the heart of the golden savannah, where the sun scorches the earth and the winds carry whispers of ancient tales, lives a majestic beast known for his striking mane and commanding presence. Despite the admiration of the other animals, a quiet uncertainty lingers within him-an unease he struggles to conceal. Yet, when danger threatens his realm or the weak cry for protection, a remarkable courage surfaces, guiding him to act with unmatched valor. This is a story of contrasts: a creature of immense strength yet hesitant in his solitude, whose journey explores the delicate balance between fear and bravery. Through encounters with cunning predators, relentless storms, and challenging trials, he learns that true courage is not the absence of fear, but the resolve to move forward despite it. Along the way, friendships are forged, wisdom is earned, and the savannah itself becomes a mirror reflecting the growth of a spirit that embraces both vulnerability and heroism. A fable of heart, courage, and self-discovery, this tale will enchant readers with vivid imagery, moral lessons, and the timeless reminder that greatness often hides behind uncertainty.

This is a story about a girl in Albion - a girl with a dark past. But she won't let that stop her from having a future in Bloodstone with Reaver. All she needs to do is convince him to help her. Follow her through this story with adventure, violence, action, humour, and maybe a bit of romance. This is sort of a fanfic for the video game FABLE. This takes place in fable 2.

This is a fairy tale I wrote in the style of the Grimm brothers and Hans Christian Anderson. I've always been a huge fan of Old World fairy tales and really tried to capture the spirit of them here. I'll leave up to you whether or not I succeeded. The central theme here mostly revolves around the realities of getting older and the lengths to which some people may go to cling to their youth. Come to think of it, that's been a recurring theme in most of my short fiction, haha. Perhaps I'm just as freaked out about getting older as my characters XD Anyway, I hope you enjoy. This is Lady of the Loom. :)

It was a whole different world he was about to enter---not here or there, now or then but, potentially, all places and times. His Sage had warned him that first-timers, especially young ones, should take it one step at a time. That wasn't his way. His Sage had counselled moderation. He was going to take the trip from front to back-straight through; no time out...

This is basically a little collection of different Reaver x Princess one shots , but the likelihood is that I'll maybe make a fanfiction (with short chapters) about them at some point. 'The Darkness Incarnate' may not be completed due to the fact that I'm really busy now and one chapter takes ages to write. If you have any one shot suggestions don't hesitate to tell me (not sexual though please, unless it's really mild). Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters, storylines or settings from Fable 3 (Lionhead does). Pic cred: http://sigisfeld.deviantart.com/art/Princess-Sophia-and-Reaver-275028094
