We've all met people: elementary school friends, past lovers, strangers on the street... their faces are burned into our minds. But as time passes by, those images fade into oblivion and as we strain to remember those faces, what we often end up is a product of reality drenched in our inaccurate imagination.

Struggling to find the key to her past life, Julia is haunted by one question, "Will she ever remember anything?" The betrayal by her life is pulling her into the penetrating darkness, where every memory is faded and lost. How can she start a new life when everything around her seems to be a lie?

An 18 year old girl, Kate Summers, has problems coping with depression and feels as if she doesn't matter. Feeling alone, she decides to take her life but is unsuccessful. This is her journey.

Leila is known for her darker scene and shy personality. Noah on the other hand is known for his flirtastic out-going personality and being quite the partier. Until one unfateful evening while Leila is on her way home from her part-time job in town; she collides with another car of a drunk driver. Her life hanging by a thread; it was even a miracle she lived. She has Noah Benderman though to thank; as he stopped by the road and called 911 to help her. Day by day Noah would stop by the hospital and visit her; see how she was doing or how she was feeling. The two made a connection but were in utter denial of it. Yet soon enough; Leila had gone back to her life; where she was a no one and didn't fit in. It was until she bumped into someone in the hall one day at school; identified as Noah she had now seen him for who he really was; or at least who everyone thought he was. What'll happen between these two now? And how will it effect the way things ever were between them in that hospital?

Not everyone knows what goes on in my head, nor what I really go through. The pages of a young high school female student can hold a lot, but I'm not your average young teen. I suppose. Here you'll read about things that actually run through my head, things that I face every day. Or even just, moments that I can't seem to forget. All in all, I just feel like I'm invisible. Like I'm fading away..

Roses are red, violets are blue are the words that have been involved in our tales for a long, long time now, what these tales don't involve is; Roses wilt and violets die. The beautiful stories don't always have happy endings. Fifty Shades of Nothing is a collection of poems that explains in different topics how: beauty fades, love dies, hope dissolves, life begins and life ends. Basically it refers to the truth that we ignore. How we gain only to lose and give never to receive and strive but never to yield. Fifty Shades of Nothing explains the nothingness of life in different facets.

This is my first real attempt at poetry. Therefore, its purpose is still unclear, but let it wash over you and you might find a glint of gold beckoning to breathe fire in you beneath the darkness.
