Good morning, I'm Kalliope Aoidós (yes, spelled like this: Καλλιόπη Ἀοιδός... pretty impressive, right?), Technical Account Manager at a company in... well, I'm sure you don't really need my CV for this. Let's try again. Hey, I'm Kalliope Aoidós, and I've got a little problem. Okay, more like an incurable, family-heritage problem. Technically, it's genetic-something my family has been conveniently passing down for centuries. One of my great-great-great-great-grandparents thought it was totally appropriate to insult his muse, calling her a "good-for-nothing" and a "sellout." How charming, right? Too bad that muse was THE Muse after whom I'm named. Apparently, she's not exactly the warm and fuzzy type. So why on earth do I have the honor of carrying the name of the one who cursed my entire family tree? Oh, that was my grandmother's brilliant idea. In a way, they "sacrificed" me to her by giving me her name, hoping it would change her mind about the curse. Spoiler alert: It didn't. So here I am, just like hundreds of my ancestors, stuck in the same lovely swamp. I'm a Book Jumper or, as my grandmother (who has a flair for dramatic epithets) likes to call me, a βιβλιοποδητής, which basically means "walker of books." And these are my stories. Or, more accurately, my delightful misadventures. All rights to the original characters, setting, and source material belong to their respective copyright holders. A thousand years ago vampires were willed into existence with dark magic. In return, half of their souls disappeared, heightening what was left; and their humanity was stripped away. 𝑁𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑑𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑏𝑎𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒. 𝑃𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑑𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑝𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟. To compensate for the missing pieces, the new creatures would eventually meet soulmates, when they were ready to accept them. · · ─ ·𖥸· ─ · · Ianah Rhydderch was a legend not dared to be spoken of in the dark. She was believed to be a myth, but every myth has a real base. A fae with no connection to nature, a being tied to death, a being that should have never existed. Ianah is nothing more than the tales of the cold blooded killer that haunt her; she is a monster, an abomination. The nightmare that children cry about, the tale of horror that is told in whispers in front of a fire. 𝐵𝑒𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 ℎ𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑑𝑎𝑟𝑘... 𝑉𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑜𝑛𝑙𝑦 𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑠, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑡𝑜𝑜 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑦. Ianah knows her soul has been fractured and has left her body, and she longs for the salvation that recovering it would give her. Ianah would fight for that soul to the death; but unfortunately for those standing against her, she was a true inmortal. THIS IS A REVERSE HAREM TVD FANFIC. Kira has always been a plan for everything expect nothing kind of girl. Of course, she couldn't exactly plan for the strange men who broke into her lab and held her at gun point. Nor could she have planned for the explosion that blew it up and sent her into a familiar fantasy book called "The Silver Prince." Now, suddenly everyone's calling her Eliana and trying to get her to go to tea parties. Lady Eliana Mickendra, extremely forgettable sidekick to the female protagonist, Adeline Tolya. Pretty sure she winds up dead in chapter 7. Nathan, couldn't say where exactly things had gone wrong for him. Was it at his birth, when he was born into a notorious crime syndicate in the pits of LA? Well, well, well. Did you miss me? I can spot a couple of new faces lurking in the back, so I suppose introductions are needed. I'm Kalliope Aoidós, a Book Jumper, and thanks to my family's spectacularly inconvenient curse, I've once again found myself trapped in an adventure. The odds of dying a horrible death? Alarmingly high, as usual. Just the way we like it. What can I say? I have standards. In a time of ancient gods, warlords and kings. A land in turmoil cried out for a hero. No, wait. That's Xena. I love the drama but we need one or two adjustments. Let's try again. In a time of the Cauldron and the Mother, of High Lords ruling their courts, deadly bargains, and the King of Hybern brooding over conquest and destruction, the fae people cried out for a hero to spare them from slaughter and an absolutely catastrophic plotline. At last, there came Kalliope, the mighty Book Jumper, forged in the heat of stories and questionable narrative decisions. Power struggles, reckless passions, political schemes, betrayals, ancient secrets, suspiciously attractive enemies, and enough emotional damage to keep therapists employed for centuries, all would be met with relentless sarcasm by the one woman who alone had the power to change the world. Over the top? Absolutely. But read my adventures first and then tell me with a straight face that I oversold any of it. Brin's had better days. Timid, lonely, and struggling with nebulous magic, all she ever wanted was a nice vegetable garden and a quiet home in the mortal realm's most idyllic village. And she had it... until the Fae attacked. One night of monsters and bloodshed leaves her peaceful life shattered and her best friend at death's door. And when one of the Fae offers to save her friend- for a price, of course- Brin accepts... then steals a relic from the creature and runs for her life. But escaping a relentless monster isn't easy, especially when said monster keeps appearing in her dreams. And if that wasn't bad enough, bargaining with a Fae is a crime punishable by death... and Brin's only protection on the road is a ruthless, frustratingly attractive mercenary who just knows she's hiding something. And this terrified gardener is not hiding it very well. What to expect: 1. An underdog heroine with a heart of gold. 2. Romantasy adventure with a slow-burn, series-long enemies-to-lovers arc. 3. Themes of found family and unconditional love. 4. A fun twist on the "chosen one" trope. 5. A hopeful journey set in a dark world.

I lowered my gaze and looked at the ground, as if it were the most beautiful thing in the world. Its color was purely white, the complete opposite of the dark aura radiating from their lord. He was not very old, yet not too young to be a ruler. His age didn't seem far from mine-but then I reminded myself that looks could be deceiving. He observed me with his icy blue eyes, looking at me slowly from head to toe. His right hand rested on the arm of his huge black chair, while his other hand held a small fae-Zerel. Zerel's teeth were visible as he smiled widely at me, then turned his grin toward his lord-Lord Kaelen. "Who is this lady?" Lord Kaelen asked Satoru. "An elf, my lord," he said proudly. "I know she is an elf. Even from miles away, I could tell what she is." Lord Kaelen groaned at the goblin.

To everyone else, Isaak Lightbringer seems like an average guy. Tall, handsome, bleach-blonde hair, rocking body, tats. To his friends, he's funny, kind, kind of a smart ass, but the best hunter they know. And to the Tampa Institute? He's a problem. Isaak has never been particularly interested in the rules separating Shadowhunters from mundanes and Downworlders. He's been known to disappear from the Institute for days at a time, showing up at mundane college parties, spending his weekends surfing, and frequenting clubs and bars alongside people the Clave would rather he keep his distance from. He's been arrested more than once for causing trouble with mundane authorities, only to always walk away without a scratch... or a record. And then there are the rumors. He has somewhat of a reputation for being a little too fond of getting close to people, regardless of whether they're Shadowhunters, Downworlders, or mundanes. The Institute knows enough to suspect there's more to it, but his aunt, and head of the Tampa Institute, knows that the easiest way to deal with Isaak is to simply pretend she has no clue what he's doing. After a disastrous hunt leaves three mundanes dead, Isaak is suspended from active duty in the Bay and assigned to a seemingly simple investigation into a string of demonic attacks across the Southeast. But when his investigation brings him to New York City, he finds himself caught between Clary Fray, the New York Institute, and the Circle. What begins as an unwanted and uneasy alliance quickly becomes something far more when Isaak discovers that the Circle has ties to a tragedy his family has spent the past twenty years trying to forget. With old enemies resurfacing, family secrets buried beneath two decades of lies, and a certain infuriatingly attractive Lightwood constantly getting under his skin, Isaak is about to discover that some things are much harder in life than killing demons.
