They've encountered many other survivors while at sea but Alicia's never met anyone like Elyza before. Elyza Lex, a cocky, arrogant but somehow charming individual finds herself tangled in Alicia's life and teaches her that life is bout more than just surviving.

On Zachariah's list of things to do, there was finish high school, move out of his brothers house, keep his blood sugar under control, go to college. What there wasn't however was watch the world end. But then again, things had never really gone according to Zach's plans. Just like his parents passing when he was a teenager wasn't part of the plan either. Neither was being diabetic, but he had been that for as long as he can remember. If there is anything that everybody around her agrees on is that she is most definitely not prepared for the vicious and cruel world that came after the dead began walking amongst the living again. But my Junior year was the best until I dated Nicholas Clark. My best friends brother. The proud owner of a shitty 2 bedroom apartment and a Ford Taurus, set out with her family in tow on the road from Pennsylvania to the outskirts of Atlanta Georgia on their way to their grandparents farm.
