Tiny little story about my cougar character, Lowin, and her tragic death, leaving behind her son in this cruel world.

Before me stood a man. Sweat trickled down his sculptured chest, red stained his shoulders, a smug smirk lingered on his angelic face. Instantly I wanted to run to him, however I refrained. I could see his fingers twitch with desire to feel my soft white hair, the only thing harming my beauty was my blood red eyes scrutinising his every move, never welcoming. Swinging the staff round to his ribs, not giving him time to strike, I swung and swung, dodging his daggers. Swinging my staff round I smashed his head, causing him to go flying, before I could come back from the power It took to deliver the blow he leaped up. His dagger sliced my side, leaving yet another future scar. Without flinching I grabbed his arm and twisted, snatching up his dagger I threw him to the ground. Falling on top of him I held the dagger to his throat, purring in his ear. I looked into his eyes, instantly feeling a spark. My mouth tugged up in a smile, I knew then that my next move would change my life.

There's been an awful lot of "missing cat" posters around lately. From precious pedigrees to scruffy ferals and strays, cats have been disappearing. Decimated and disembowelled furry bodies, showing up on street corners, filthy alleyways, and meticulously tended gardens, have been sending both the people and felines of this previously sleepy little suburban town into a state of fear and anxiety; cat owners trying desperately to keep their precious moggies safe, and the cats themselves, fearing for their lives and praying that they don't end up a soggy mound of fur and blood on a curbside somewhere. Toby is scared, just like everyone else. But he knows that killings of this scale cannot completely be covered up. There must be some evidence somewhere. He is determined to find who's responsible.
