When Ana lost her father she lost everything. Years after the fact she is still haunted by his last words and the knowledge that nothing will ever be the same. She lost her dad, her home and her anonymity. Now, ten years later, she is trying to find herself again. In losing her son, Catherine gained her granddaughter. Was that a fair trade? No. Was it what got her through those early days? Yes. Now she had to say goodbye, and she wasn't sure she was ready to. *** On September 11th 2001, 2,977 people fell victim to 19 associates of the al-Qaeda Islamic extremist group who hijacked four airplanes, executing Suicide Attacks on The World Trade Centre and The Pentagon as well as attempting to do so on the, still unknown, destination of Flight 93. The events of this day shaped culture as we know it; 24 hour news broadcasts, increased airline security and a new found, aggressive approach to combating terrorist organisations all stemmed from 9/11, and with an event that affected the masses in such a drastic way it is often difficult to identify the individuals whose lives were completely changed. Over 3,000 children under the age of 18 lost a parent on 11 September 2001 and this is the statistic that most influenced my research and writing. 08:46:40 was written as my dissertation piece for the degree of English Literature with Creative Writing in 2015 and is still one of my proudest achievements. Once there are only sixteen remaining, they then fight to the death in ritual combat. Only the strongest becomes the next Emperor or Empress. When her brother is arrested and forced to partake in the year's Challenge, Rei finds herself navigating the intricacies and scandals of the courtly life in order to get close enough to save him. This year is different: the country might be facing a war, and a betrothal to a prince of another land awaits the winner. As she progresses through the Praelium, Rei quickly learns no one can be an ally and that she must do things she is not proud of once again in order to save her brother. After all, if the only person you loved could die at any moment, what would you do to save them? What would you become?

I have this incapability to say the things I feel, I struggle with saying the words that make my reality... a reality. So this is my zine poetry about things I can say by writing, these words were a knot in my throat.

This is a piece I wrote about my experiences and life as someone with ADHD and Autism (undiagnosed). How I perceive the world around me as well as myself. It's written in a way that puts the reader in my shoes, hopefully giving those who do read it a somewhat unique point of view.

This is not a fiction or a story. This book contains of a bunch of midnight thoughts which strike my mind everytime I think of the person who destroyed me in the worst way possible and yet, has managed to occupy a very tiny, but prominent soft spot in my heart which expands at every thought of him.

This was written as practice for my CXC CSEC English A 2016 exams. I finally decided to share it. This was the question. Question 2: Write a story which ends with the following line, 'Now, I always lock the door behind me.'

Chasity Whitmore is left picking up the pieces after the sudden death of her mom. At the tender age of 17 she is up against the biggest problem of her life. Her baby sisters Mya is sent to live with her asshole of a dad. Chasity and 10 month old Santana are sent to a foster home. When she turns 18 she is kicked to fend for herself. She has only one goal to get her sisters back together and nothing will stop her from doing that.

Here lies all of the quotes and poems I wrote at the age of 14. At this time I was a Freshmen in Highschool and navigating through many things by myself. As I look at these again, I'm proud of myself that I allowed myself to have an outlet. Some of these I wrote in happier and higher places than others. So with that being said, I hope you may find comfort and enjoy these.

This is not a story line with a plot, but rather I will be talking about different emotions and harmful or positive actions that I experience on a day to day basis.
