Cecelia is trying to keep cool when everything around her is burning down. She keeps sane with the gasps of freedom she has on her bike. So when she meets George it's like something could change. There's hope in the world besides her secret rides through LA. Can she finally realize the need to relate? To seek help instead of pressing feelings down in the ways her family's secret's have taught her. Cece is 18, almost out, but what if she's finally found a reason to stay? _______________________________________________________________________________ My long hair flows behind me and I race down the first hill I hit. I raise my hand high in the air and push my legs to straighten and the momentum catches up with me and suddenly the world is gone. Just me, some overalls, chucks, and my bike. I grin, knowing nobody's around. Knowing I'm in solitude for this second. Knowing I'm free and the flood of joy washing over me won't be blocked. I race up and down the paths. Twisting around to my music, blasting out of my phone hanging out of my backpack. I can dance on my bike. Spinning and racing till I'm breathless. The strangers I pass I will never see again. I can fly and nobody will care. I can let go and they'll ignore me. Troye Sivan can blare and all they can do is glare. Those split seconds where I can forget myself, my flaws and love myself more than anything. The split seconds until.

Ava only ever kept two big secrets from her parents. One, was that she played soccer, and the second was.. well... she was an online singing sensation. No one knew about the second one actually. No one but her guy best friend. Ever since she was young, she'd been facing the societal expectations and pressures of society. What happens when she sets out to challenge this. will she succeed, or will she be yet another victim? ------ 'Of course Dad'll agree with mom. Both of them don't like me playing soccer. Apparently, it's too rowdy for a girl like me to play soccer and quote " A pretty girl like you should focus on being polite and respectful." Yeah right, as if that's going to stop me.' ------ Sing anonymously? I ask. 'Yup.' He replies. ------ Currently I am only left with writing the epilogue which will be up in a while. Thank you for bearing with my sleep deprived self. Hope you enjoy reading<3 : I wrote this a long time ago, I realize it's cringey and cliché so read at your own risk :
