She came for four days of music, sun, and forgetting real life. She didn't expect him. When she meets a stranger at a festival, it starts with a cigarette-for-beer deal and ends in something she can't quite define. He is grounded, effortless, and dangerously easy to fall into. For four days, it feels like the world outside the festival doesn't exist. But nothing at a festival is real forever.

Across a vast land, the arrival of the thirteen-star alignment is welcomed with celebration. Known as Sai-Mukanjō, the tradition marks a rare celestial event that appears once every decade. Villages gather beneath lantern-lit skies, families offer prayers, and the night passes as it always has for generations. Yet hidden beneath the festivities lies a mystery no one has ever solved: whenever the stars align, thirteen people from different corners of the country die, seemingly without connection. Awakening in a world where emotions shape fate itself, the thirteen soon learn they have been chosen for a purpose. Each lacks a vital emotion and is bound to a person who possesses it in abundance-a person destined to hate them from the moment they meet. But finding that person is only the beginning. In a world filled with millions of strangers, how do you find the one soul fate has chosen for you before time runs out?

I never thought a spontaneous trip to Fiji would change my life. I was just Max Vito, a regular Hispanic- Italian guy from Havana Cuba looking to escape the city's noise. I had been talking to a girl online for eight months now and she invited me to her country for one of her religious holidays, The Festival of Lights- Diwali. It sounded like the perfect way to experience something new, something beautiful, what I didn't expect was to find myself living with Aelia's family, surrounded by traditions I'd never known, in a place that felt more like home than anywhere else, from the moment I stepped into their world, I was welcomed with open arms. Aelia's family didn't just invite me to celebrate Diwali- They showed me what it meant to belong. They taught me the significance of lighting the Diyas to chase away the darkness, shared their stories of faith, hope, and renewal, and invited me into their nightly celebrations, where the air smelled of incents and the sounds of laughter echoed through the streets. And there was Aelia, unlike anyone I'd ever met- beautiful with a quiet strength that made me want to know everything about her. As I learned about her family's traditions I realized I was also learning more about her. The way she cared for her family, her older brother and I became best friends instantly, Aelia looked at the world with wonder, it's impossible not to fall for her, how could I tell her? The festival was supposed to be a temporary stop, a quick visit before I returned to my old life. But as each day passed, I found myself questioning whether I could leave. Fiji had given me more than an adventure; it had given me a glimpse of something I didn't know I was missing. A place where traditions, love, and light filled the air. Now as the festival nears its end, I'm faced with a choice, go back to the life I knew, or stay in this Island Paradise where I've found more than just myself- I've found a family, a culture and maybe the love of my life.

He was just a warehouse worker, invisible to the world, folding clothes by day and chasing impossible dreams by night. Every morning, Adrian carried boxes through the back of a fashion store, surrounded by dust, tired voices, and people who had already accepted their lives. But every night, inside his small room, he became someone else - a producer, a dreamer, a boy building worlds out of sound. With an old laptop, broken headphones, and no one believing in him, Adrian starts posting his music online. At first, nobody listens. Then one song changes everything. From empty rooms to underground clubs, from rejection to viral fame, from heartbreak to the biggest festival stage in the world, Adrian will discover that success is not just about being heard. It is about surviving the noise. And sometimes, the hardest part of reaching the mainstage... is remembering the boy who started in the warehouse.

Through the breeze of a few notes breathed upon a flute, in the dead of night--where silence erupts more than the agony in a Yaksha's heart--he could then remember the bard whose notes echoed the surroundings, deeply piercing through his rusted chained door. And within all the years of deep ponders about the bard's identity, he then caught a glimpse of his blue-hued braids under the roof of a particular diner, along with the Archon he sees as his master. To his surprise, perhaps the true character of his so-called "savior" is far different than what he had expected. ~ XIAOVEN FANFIC ~ || P.S. This is my autobiographical essay about the moment I lost my stressful corporate PR job in 2009 and unexpectedly found myself volunteering for an alternative arts festival in Zagreb. Immersed in a vibrant world of rebels, activists, and artists, I finally stepped out of my rigid routine and learned to embrace the unknown. It is a nostalgic true story about breaking meaningless rules and discovering my own personal and creative freedom.

-... The music was deafening. Already a bit dazed and drunk I looked around and looked for him. He said he would only go to the bathroom for a moment and that he would be right back! Jefrey couldn't be relied on either ... he was probably making out with some girl with daddyissues again from Florida or something. I had to smile and let him know this moment. I also wanted to have fun, I mean just standing around helplessly at a festival wasn't my thing. So I unpacked my cigarette pack, looked around and the cigarette fell out of my hand. I swore briefly and bent to pick it up. I was bumped into and cursed even more, but my thoughts were only on those beautiful eyes cursed and turned away from the deep and beautiful green eyes that were still staring at me. She was so lovely, so hot and so helpless like me ...-
