This is a collection of stories I create based on prompts I randomly select from a book called '5,000 Writing Prompts' by Bryn Donovan I may make multiple books if this people do end up liking these. And some may become their own, fully developed stories

The Co-Passenger begins on a train that leaves my parents making me go back alone to the life where i have to survive for more 6 months as a college final year back to Trichy... back to college... and back to routine.... and somewhere in that moment... Sahithi Enters my Journey.... I feel like She is not just an Arrival.... She is a Presence... where two strangers share the same starting point... the same destination... and a stretch of time borrowed from life... between the station announcements and the hum of the engine... conversations bloom slowly hesitant first... then warm... silence tooo finds its place between us... never heavy never awkward... just... comfortable... The train teaches us howw to be gentle... windows become witnesses... platforms offer stolen minutes... there is no need for names to be remembered loudly... no need for promises to be made... some connections exist only to remind us how beautiful it feels to be understood even briefly.... As Landscapes pass and nights turn into morning... the journey becomes more than travel.. it becomes a shared memory fragile... fleeting... unforgettable... a story that doesnt ask to be defined by chapters or endings... but by the quiet magic of in between moments... The co-passenger is a story that moves like a train never stopping for long... never waiting.... yet leaving behind something that stays...

Each year, 500 babies in the US are chosen at random, genetically modified to adapt to life on Mars, and sent there. This has been going on for fifty-seven years, and people there haven't gotten suspicious. But mars is changing. It's slowly becoming inhabitable. Nearly 29000 people lived there, and it's been narrowed down to around 16000. People there are dropping like flies. And if Aryel doesn't do something soon, nobody will survive. Aryel Foster is so terrified of losing her life, she would find any way to stop it. And she does just that. She delves into research, her friend Melody Parks at her side, and they discover what's been going on. But only by accident. They discover the control center in the middle of Red Sand City is where newborns are being shipped in, and scientists are being shipped out. In a hasty attempt to survive, Aryel and Melody gather their friends and break into the control tower. They steal a pod and set off for Earth. The thing is, none of them know how to make it to earth or fly a pod. And what happens if they make it there?

On my blog (www.lydiasanders.com) I have a series called "An Eclectic Writing Class" where I gather resources on productivity, writing craft, grammar, and vocabulary into monthly lessons. These monthly posts also include updates on my own writing projects and writing prompts of my own creation. Rather than including my prompt-inspired writing in my blog posts, I've opted to post it here on Wattpad. This isn't intended to be well-polished writing, and I don't want critiques or editing help for these scenes---I know they're all kinds of messed up. The parts won't necessarily follow any sort of story structure or make sense. Aside from typing up what I've written and fixing a few spelling and punctuation errors, this is unedited. There are even [placeholder words] and {notes to myself} within the text which I'll need to change later if I end up actually using this writing for anything. Most of the prompts are phrases intended to be somehow included in the scene. Beginning sentence, ending sentence, worked into the middle somehow--it doesn't matter. These phrases can be found in the part titles. You're welcome to take the prompts and use them to spark your own work. I would love to see what you come up with. I recommend setting a timer for 20-25 minutes and writing whatever pops into your head. If you need to tweak something in the phrase to make it work for your story, like changing a pronoun or swapping an animal out for a different one, go for it. There are no rules here. Just write.
