Laqueta, meaning "quiet", is a female pregnant black bear who lives alone in the Yellowstone National Park in a small, dark cave on the side of a mountain. She gives birth one night during autumn and names her male bear cub Desiree, meaning "long awaited". Laqueta has to get used to living with another, much less mature, bear, and it takes a while for her to understand that being alone isn't the only way to live. I hope you enjoy "Mama Bear" and stick around for some other stories!
