Threatened by a stranger who wants the dragon for themselves, she seeks help from the true owner of the hatchling and the dragon dairy farm, Cliff (Clifford, though no one uses his full name and stays in his good graces) Rosso-Cane. Together they must face dangerous enemies, distracting attraction, and secrets that will shake the foundations of their society and their identities. A happy ending may not be possible.
