The Weekend Write-in is a group of writers who each week draft and share a piece of flash fiction of 500 words or less inspired by a one word prompt released every Friday. If interested follow the link below. https://www.wattpad.com/story/400213593-the-weekend-write-in-volume-6 TheWriter'sDen (Kitra Writes) is gone. It was fun while it lasted. I reversed the order so oldest stories are last and newest are first.

When a writer stumbles into an hourglass, she discovers a world she has never tried--a world where she can speak her mind without others criticizing, and a world where she mixes fiction with reality: the world of Time and Tide. *** For the longest time, Viktoria Fyodorova has been stuck in the world of Fiction, writing story after story, eager to try something new. The time comes when she stumbles upon an hourglass while exploring one day, and enters the world of Time and Tide. There, she mixes fiction with reality and learns that if they take the extra step, a writer may be surprised when they try something new. A place for all the short (less than 800 words) stories that I've written, since about 2023. I update once a blue moon when the mood strikes me. Reocurring themes include that feeling you get while dissociating at a moderately sized party, the blurry line between comedy and horror, and those little moments that nobody thinks of but I never shut up about. Some of it's not that good, but I don't think it really needs to be. I just want it to exist. --- Or; what several years of sporadic writing does to a mf.

This second volume of collected poems and short stories follows behind the footsteps of "The Art of Losing and Loving." It tries to integrate the feelings of a person still growing but having finally landed on who they are. It goes beyond the connections we make with ourselves and others, and touches on our purpose in life. Beyond the grief and struggles there is a light that is waiting to bathe us in it. We are meant for joy. Only if we dare to seek and fight for it.

I didn't know where the mass of flesh had come from, or why it had appeared in my apartment. I only knew it couldn't stay. Bound by necessity and a dark, unspoken burden, I crafted a makeshift boat out of uneven planks, household glue, and duct tape. I couldn't do it alone, so I called my mother. Without a single sermon or a glance of judgment, she helped me carry the strange mass to a secluded riverbank to give it back to the earth. A surreal, atmospheric short story exploring a bizarre haunting, familial duty, and the heavy weight of things left unexplained.

Sometimes we don't have the time to read an entire novel or even a short story. Still, we yearn for connection with a compelling tale. Each of these "short" short stories can be read in the time it takes to consume a cappuccino. Like coffee provides caffeine for the physical body, a story supplies caffeine for the soul. Whether romantic, poignant, hopeful, or reflective, each of these flash fiction pieces aims to evoke deep emotion that stays with you long after reading it. Pull up a chair, grab your inspirational beverage of choice, and join in on the conversation, filling each of our mugs with caffeine for the soul.

"He will not love. He will not feel. He will not breathe. He is not human." In April of 1790, an immortal boy with blindness is discovered deep within the catacombs of France. For decades, a team of scholars tries everything in their power to destroy the creature, driven to the brink of madness by its unyielding, chilly breath. Spanning thirty years of obsessive journal entries, this historical horror story follows lead scholar Pierre Laval's descent into insanity-until a modern-day discovery in 2010 unearths a tragic reality far more terrifying than any monster. A complete psychological horror flash fiction story by Dallas Spock.
