Idk man, just a flick book!!! Thoughts from my mind lol.

Sometimes when my mind wanders, in the shower, before bed, or on the way to work I find myself thinking how do you know when you've found the one. Don't get me wrong, I've seen all of the chick flicks a girl can see, and I've listened to Carrie and Samantha and the girls hash it over over cocktails or brunch. And every time I'm always waiting for them to say it. That one thing that just clicks. Like a person praying for God to send them a sign. I watch, and I sometimes cry and I wait for the one moment where I can think, hey that's me. That's how you know.  I do realize that looking for advice on who I should spend my life with from movies is the equivalent to leaving my fortune up to a cookie. But how else is a girl to know these things?! I have days when I know, or at least when I think I know. Days of clarity when my boyfriend of five years is THE one. I'm 100% sure of it. Then sometimes I have days where I am not 100% sure. It's like one of those days where you just can't decide what to wear. You like your clothes. You bought them so you must have liked them. But are they what you want to wear ALL day. (Ok so maybe not the best comparison, but you get my point). I guess it becomes harder as society changes and becomes a figure in a divorce percentage, and I guess that I could take the 'blame my divorced parents' route. But I see people doing it all the time. Couples who have been together for ages, who are married with or without children and who are just genuinely happy. And so I still ask how do you know? Someone in my uni Psychology class once said that they key to a long lasting relationship was never falling out of love with each other at the same time. That that's how it works. If you aren't feeling it one day, or week, your partner is. And you pick each other up and you inspire each other and you remind each other in big or small ways why you are together. Maybe there's truth to that. It sounds nice to me. So how do you know when you've got that?
