A weekly story written from the perspective of Doctor Rookwoods doll. Note, this is obviously for fun, as the doll has no magical/religious effects in the Fools and Heroes world. Yet...

Elizabeth Bennett is a mischievous heiress of Charleston, and daughter to it's governor. She spends her time going to markets, painting, riding through town, adventuring, and daydreaming. All of these things are just one huge distraction in hopes of avoiding marriage. Elizabeth just sees it as a bond tying her down, and intends avoiding it as long as possible. Frustrated, and finished with her antics her father finds a suitor. A mysterious lord, whom Elizabeth has her suspicions about. James Donovan is the ruthless pirate captain of the Jade Lady. He's escaped the British, French, and Spanish on his hunt for riches, knowledge, and stature. Then, one day he finds his ships near the American Colonies. Also, another bit of information is received that a wealthy ship is crossing his own path. Intrigued, and in need of a chase he sails to meet the ship. Aboard it he is surprised to find Elizabeth. Trapped on the ship Elizabeth struggles to change in accordance with the lifestyle, and manages to catch the captains attention. Soon the two seem tangled in a complex web of romance, deceit, danger, and piracy.
