(Characters belong to RvB, owned by Roosterteeth. This is also a first attempt at writing and sticking to writing, a full story!) After miraculously being revived after his plummet to the misty below of Chorus, Felix is left only with small tidbits of his memory, his name, and the armor on his body. Faced with new challenges, he makes a new life for himself in this new little area of Chamber, a society located beneath Chorus grounds, built to keep those who wanted nothing to do with the war safe and secured. A small little blip on the A'rynasea's map was all Locus had needed to be reminded of his fallen partner. In a final moment of respect for him, he decided to turn back to Chorus and recover the merc's armor. Whether for a monumental purpose, or safe-keeping, he wouldn't be able to say. However, when greeted with an all too familiar face upon his landing on Chamber, he finds he's been given a second chance, they both have, to make things better, to make things right.

What if, one night you don't wake up in the same bed? What if you're whole world is changed overnight? Follow the story of Y/n, who gets sucked into Bastion, more commonly known as Anthem. Where they can change how everything goes, well almost. Too much change might cause a cataclysm, or is that what they want? This is a story of not just a freelancer, but also their cypher, Owen Corley, who is the beginning to a strong friendship. This friendship can grow stronger, or become weaker with betrayal. Strong Alone, Stronger Together. This is what most, if not every freelancer, strives to believe in. This is what keeps Y/n going, in hopes of seeing their family again. This is what keeps them fighting to survive the Heart of Rage, and eventually, Owen's betrayal. Based on the game Anthem. This is an Owen Corley x Freelancer Reader.

The world of work has undergone a seismic shift. Remember the days when a career meant a single employer, a pension plan, and a predictable trajectory? Those days aren't entirely gone, but they're rapidly becoming a nostalgic memory for a growing segment of the workforce. We've entered the age of the gig economy, and it's not just a trend - it's a fundamental reshaping of how we define work, earn a living, and, crucially, build businesses. This isn't merely about driving for Uber or delivering meals. The gig economy encompasses a vast spectrum of skills, services, and expertise, from freelance writing and graphic design to software development, virtual assistance, and even specialized consulting. It's a landscape populated by individuals who are, at their core, entrepreneurs - even if they haven't realized it yet. But why is this happening? What's driving this mass exodus from traditional employment to the world of independent work?
