Those who suffer from it are often too ashamed or embarrassed to talk about it and those who have never suffered from it lack the empathy and understanding to truly get where that person is coming from. This book, at time of starting, is being written by someone who has suffered from two decades worth of trials and tribulations leading to years of depression, anxiety and now, a psychotic episode. My aim here is helping to break the barrier between 'you' and 'us' in the hope that maybe, we can interlink a little better and tackle this shushed subject together. I will be focusing on well known facts, those not so well known and all illnesses which can affect anyone, at any point, at any age. To help bridge the gap between the two different sides, I will be allowing you a unique insight into my own mind, how I think, how I feel and what my real dark days consist of.
