Chika's great-aunt Anne invites her to New York for school and promises to pay for all her expenses. Chika leaves Nigeria and heads for New York. She meets new people and experiences a whole new kind of life( courtesy of her aunt's acting career). Her aunt isn't the nicest person and Chika has to get used to all the new people around her but she has faith that everything will work out.

Auspiciously talented singer and teen female idol, Ames Amell has arrived at the defining point of his career that is highly volatile and delicate, much to his dismay. For the first time in three years since stepping into the spotlight, he feels caged and overwhelmed as a result of the constraints attached to the famed lifestyle. Free spirited Nigerian belle, Teniola Olaide who is spending the summer with relatives in New York after completing highschool, has never felt more liberated in her entire life. Her sole intent is to have a magnificent holiday, void of all hormonal complications, but things spiral out of control when she permits a decision of apparent irrelevance. The resulting consequence is the collision of two distinct worlds of high contrast that eventually brings about initial distaste amongst these two people, but somewhere along the path of their emotional-fueled escapade, strong feelings sublime-feelings that threaten to bring about huge losses, especially to Ames, who is vulnerable to losing everything he's ever worked for in his career.

This is the expository story of a young man whose life experiences had thought him a few useful things. He had been raised by a single foster parent who had given him more love than he could ever ask for, but being unable to find out his origin, he had lived his life feeling completely . . . misplaced. Stuck in a world that is not his, he had learnt the act of survival. He had mastered that skill of using what he has to get what he wants. He had mastered the act of puppeteering, the ability to hide behind a veil but yet able to reach far out beyond any mortal and manipulate the world around him.
