What went through Elphaba's mind after Defying Gravity.

Elphaba wasn't quite sure when she had started to fall for Galinda, she only knew that she had, and it was a love that was growing stronger and stronger every day. But Galinda, dear, sweet Galinda, was blind to it all, and Elphaba was far too afraid to ever bring it up.

When Glinda tries to make homework easier by summoning help, she botches the spell and gives herself another task to complete before the start of class tomorrow morning. Luckily, though, despite Glinda's hilarious magical mishap, a certain green girl swoops in to save the day with a spell all her own.

Elphaba didn't believe in things like churches and religions, saviors and salvations, but she did believe in her sister, in her family, in her loved ones. She wasn't there for the Unnamed God, but for the precious few who made themselves her found, fire-forged family through time. In her opinion, that was far more worth worshipping.

Once bearing a polestaff, now a wand, Glinda rushed her mean, green enemy. If nothing else, no one could call her a coward. She never ran away from the Wicked Witch, only toward, and that never changed, even as they met as bitter enemies rather than friendly rivals. And Elphaba, though aloof and superior, always took Glinda's advances, a truly worthy opponent. (Wicked Movie)

Back at it again with my annual Pride anthology! This time, the theme is the symbolism of the number 4, since this year is 2024. So tell me, readers, are you ready four it?

Glinda knows that Elphaba wasn't what all of Oz painted her out to be. And ever since Elphaba's supposed melting and death, Glinda has been alone and empty. A shell of her former self, devoid of the ability to truly love, and forced to harbour the secret of her lover's legacy. So, when she hears rumours of Elphaba being alive and in Southstairs, she decides to play her hand and see if what she hears is true. But then, does she expect to find anything? And what could she even do about it? This story picks up about two years after the end of Son of a Witch. Gelphie. Bookverse. May be a bit tragic. I don't own Wicked.
