Soap finds him and desperately tries to help, not ever imagining having gone on a mission with two people and only coming back with one person alive. Ngl, this is my first ever one-shot. I think I did better with it than my other works. If you're wondering why Soap's "yous" switch between "ya" and "you," it's because I feel like he's more of a "ya" guy, but there's some situations/phrases where "ya" doesn't cut it and you have to use "you," y'know? Hope you do

Every chapter can be read as an one shot unless stated differently at the start of a chapter. There is progression of feelings over the chapters. Ghost lost his childhood, he never got to be a kid and Soap does everything to give it back to him. Ghost never had the opportunity to play tag with his parents, the only tag he ever played was with the enemy that either wanted to kill him or the other way around. Ghost never got to build a pillow fort and lay on a soft blanket. Ghost never got to be childish or careless. Soap decided to change that. or Ghost finally experiences tenderness and fun.

A fanfiction where two men who thought they wanted nothing else in the world meet a new member of their squadron and both slowly fall for them. But due to recent heavy events, the new member is looking for anything but romance, or are they? The story will include mature themes such as gore depictions, death and injury. !! There will be 18+ moments through the story but not immediately for realism purposes !! (In this fanfic the reader is portrayed as transmasculine in any situations it is needed just a heads up) Enjoy'!

When being forced to face those scars over Christmas he quickly realised he couldn't do it without Johnny 'soap' Mactavish, a Sergeant he was loosely acquainted with. In doing so he's forced to go against his self-hatred, his longing for affection and the loss of a teammate near to him.
