Author's Note Some stories never really leave our hearts. They remain in the quiet corners of our minds, in the memories that still make us smile, and in the dreams we sometimes dare to imagine. Sometimes, I find myself asking... "What if?" What if life gave Jacob and Danielle another chance? What if, five years later, they crossed paths again? Would they recognize each other? Would they still choose each other? Or would life have already written a different ending? This story was born from those questions. It isn't meant to predict the future, nor is it written to rewrite the past. It is simply a wishful thinking-an imaginative continuation of Dear Diary: Between the Signal and the Silence. A story of hope. A story of healing. A story of second chances. And perhaps, a story that reminds us that love, when placed in God's hands, is never truly wasted. As I write these chapters, I do so with a hopeful heart, while remembering that only God knows how every story truly ends. His plans will always be greater than anything I could ever imagine. So, for now... Allow me to dream. Allow me to write. And allow me to share with you a story that exists only within these pages. This is not the story I expect life to write. It is simply the story my heart imagined. If, one day, life writes a different ending, I will still be grateful, because I know the greatest Author has already written the best one. After five years of being on pins and needles, fighting crime like robots, the Titans are no longer teens. Entering their early-twenties, existentialism is bound to do a number on all of them, but what happens when someone finally puts their foot down and says enough is enough? That's where Nightwing comes into the picture. After dedicating so much of his life to being a superhero, he's had enough. He wants to live a normal life; experience things that make him feel alive instead of living life on autopilot, working himself to the bone. Though he's the leader of the team, confrontation isn't Nightwing's strongest suit. He needs a little shoulder to lean on. Or rather a muscley, orange one that belongs to a tall, bubbly, Tamaranean girl with a head full of curly, raspberry-colored locks. With someone as welcoming as Starfire being Nightwing's cheerleader on his journey of stepping away from "superhero-hood", will he finally be able to scratch his itch? Or will he come to realize that there's an itch coming from his heart rather than his mind? A love triangle between Amy Rose, the ruler of the Garden Kingdom, Sir Lancelot the black hedgehog and sonic, the wondering traveller. Who will Amy choose? Or will she try and solve the mystery of her parents death that once ruled the powerful kingdom that now has less citizens living in it while the air was always filled with discomfort. This story was inspired after watching a gameplay of the sonic game that took in medieval times! He will cause her heart to flutter with delight but eventually, she will also run away from him. Due to culture difference and upbringing, they will face difficulties in building friendship and understanding for each other. Can they break the barrier between them? Idiot. According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, it (1) refers to a foolish or a stupid person; and (2)it refers to someone who is mentally incapable of comprehending what another person says. So if you say "dont eat this" they eat it, if you say "dont wear this" they wear it, and if you say "dont do this" they do it anyways. Idiot right? Annoying. Irritating. Blood-boiling. Well screw my life because apparently, I met the "Idiot-est" creature ever made. And guess what... I said "dont love me" but he did.
