An agitated woman dressed in a yellow coloured brocade gown laments looking up to the old man dressed in a white turned brown lace and sitted on a tattered local mat in a room furnished with low stools, another local mat, animal skins displayed on the wall, a million cowries scattered in different directions and a segregated blood stained area of the room where in a red wrapper is tied.

I attempted to write a villanelle - A 19 line poem where the second line of every stanza is rhyming. Villanelle consists of 5 tercets(3 line stanza) followed by a quatrain(4 line stanza).

No one knows how it feels to be married off early by your own parents or do you? Well Fatima is about to face an arranged marriage that leads to humiliation, regret, pain and even death.
