Poetry always has a meaning. Different. Vivid. Diverse. Some tell stories. Some teach lessons. Some state concepts. 'Bright Burning Hydrangeas' is the story behind and beyond the poem- 'Darling Meek Child' Lessons are meant to be learned. But if not in the state of mind to learn, the present always offers adventures to be experienced and enjoyed. Joy is not the sand of the dessert or the water in our canteens. It is what resides in our mind and who sits beside us in the sand while sharing that canteen.

He didn't know what just one pair was saying or what they were talking about, it was a big jumble of low key words about social empireing he heard and formal things. "Louis.. I just don't fit in here with all your friends. I want you to have a good time and be happy with your friends, but I'm going up to bed." Zayn sighed, walking over to a lonely table and sat the gnarly drink on the wood. "Zayn, come on," Louis tried to catch him but it was too late, he had escaped slowly up the stairs so he didn't draw attention to him leaving.

Some poetry I wrote the other day. It's from the perspective of someone who's coming to terms with losing a loved one.
