They say loneliness doesn't prevent anything. But why are we human in the first place?
Have you ever felt like you were put aside? If yes, let me be clear: being rejected by a group of friends under the pretext that you are not "part" of their group is the HEIGHT of absurdity. What are you all taught at school, uh? Be united, always help your neighbour, and NEVER make fun of anyone. We are a society, and a society should make one.
To myself, and to all the people who can relate to loneliness: this book is for you.
Being put apart is really difficult and unfair.
This book could also be called "A part, Apart", as we are following Rose's story, a young girl who will soon turn eighteen, and who has spent almost her entire schooling alone, because people wouldn't take her in their "groups".
I wrote this story as an intent to raise awareness on this issue that many kids and teenagers are living everyday, but also because this is what I lived.
If you ever live that, and that you have the possibility to leave, do it. And never look back. Rose leaves France to go study at the university of her dreams in London. If you can do the same, take her story as an example.
Thank you for reading me.
And remember,
Behind every fiction hides a real story,
So never judge, and remain human.
