What if everything you've ever believed about your family... was a lie? Sixteen-year-old Lucy Everly has spent her entire life inside the Church of the Firstborn in the tiny farming town of Rocky, Oklahoma, where obedience is expected, questions are dangerous, and everyone knows everyone else's secrets-or so they think. Then Lucy's childhood friend Tracy Dove disappears. When Lucy begins asking questions no one wants answered, she finds herself caught between Greg Elliott, the boy she's loved for as long as she can remember, and Jacob Reddick, the loyal friend who would do anything to protect her. Together, they begin uncovering hidden records, altered documents, forgotten graves, and secrets that have been buried in Rocky for generations. The closer Lucy gets to the truth, the more dangerous the questions become. A respected sheriff seems to know more than he should. Church elders are watching her. Her father is hiding something that could change everything Lucy believes about her family, and someone is willing to kill to keep the past buried. But the greatest mystery may not be what happened to Tracy. It may be **who Lucy really is**. Set against the haunting landscape of southwest Oklahoma, ***The Firstborn Prophecy*** is a Southern Gothic coming-of-age thriller about first love, faith, betrayal, family secrets, and the terrible cost of questioning everything you've been taught to believe. Inspired by real places and the emotional realities of growing up within a small religious sect, the story blends psychological suspense, mystery, romance, and Southern Gothic darkness into a world where faith runs deep, secrets run deeper, and the truth can be more dangerous than any lie. Some secrets are buried. Others are baptized.

‼️‼️STORY CONTAINS HEAVY SPOILERS FOR HAZBIN HOTEL SEASON 2 EPISODE 2!!!‼️‼️ Sir Pendleton was an odd man in 19th century London. Described to be a "pervert" while alive, in reality, he was further from that. Though he liked working on his inventions- or his "machines" as he called them, he also liked to watch people out on the streets from his window, being fascinated by them, and pretending as if they were apart of his life. The streets were a theater, and he was the audience. Even if it meant very personal matters (such as sexual intimacy, which he was rather ashamed of). But all of that changed one night when he witnessed a beautiful young woman walking by his workshop, only to be brutally murdered by one of his clients, yet he idly stood by and did nothing. Since that day, Pendleton lived with sorrow and guilt for not acting when he should have done. Two nights later, being driven with guilt, he killed himself. Many of us know the rest- he ends up in hell, goes under the alias of Sir Pentious, sacrifices himself for his friends (and Cherri Bomb, of course) and gets into Heaven as a redeemed soul. But what if that never happened? What if Pendleton became so filled with guilt from his inability to act, that instead of becoming a vulnerable (yet acting villainous) snake demon in hell, he was doomed to wander his own workshop halls as a ghost? Well, that is exactly what happens. Almost ten years have passed in a still Victorian-era London, and author Emerson Wiles, a beautiful young authoress, had rented the former inventor's apartment, turning it into a writer's haven. Pendleton becomes shocked at the young woman who enters his home...maybe now is the chance to do something... Season 2 episode 2 (specifically Pentious's backstory) physically broke me, so have an AU where instead of becoming a snake demon after death, he becomes a ghost...TRAUMA!!! He was adored for his beauty and feared for his cruelty. Then he was cursed. Exiled to the bell tower of Saint-Sulpice, Édouard Valmont becomes a monster in the eyes of the city. Merely an unseen voice behind the ringing bells. But when a traveling performer named Lysander discovers the man beneath the deformity, something begins to awaken inside Édouard: a longing he has never known. Yet the cathedral hides more than stone and prayer. And when a powerful church official's obsession turns into a threat, Édouard must confront the darkest truth of all: redemption may require a price he cannot pay. A gothic tragedy of love, vanity, and the unbearable weight of becoming worthy.

A voice continues to whisper "what is it you seek?" to anyone who will listen, in rooms, crowds, and just behind the eyes. A love letter is addressed to someone who can be seen but never touched again. And somewhere on the outskirts of it all, a boy born solely to protect a girl with a heart like a withered rose kneels before his own execution and declares it worthwhile. Living Latent Lives is a compilation of short stories about the people who exist in the in-between memory and the present, between the living and lingering, between what we are allowed to keep and what we are only allowed to visit. Not just a single story, but many small, aching ones that keep almost touching each other.

After the death of his mother, eighteen-year-old Justin Harper is slowly decaying inside a creaking Victorian house where grief lingers in every room and silence has become its own language. His father, Kennedy, remains emotionally absent, leaving Justin trapped in routine and unresolved pain. Everything changes when Kennedy returns with Jessica-the nineteen-year-old daughter of his late former lover, a young woman carrying wounds and secrets of her own. Though they begin as strangers, Justin and Jessica are drawn together by a connection neither can explain. As their bond deepens, hidden truths rise from the past: betrayals, buried desires, and family lies that have shaped their lives long before they met. What begins as companionship becomes something far more dangerous-an attraction that threatens to unravel everything they thought they knew about themselves and the people they love. Haunted by grief, consumed by longing, and trapped in a house built on deception, Justin and Jessica must confront the echoes of the past before they destroy their future. But some secrets refuse to stay buried, and some desires carry consequences neither is prepared to face. Forbidden Echoes is a dark psychological slow-burn about grief, obsession, family secrets, and the fragile line between love and self-destruction.

The story follows a group of children who grew up in a haunted house. Now, as adults, Keishin, Tetsurou, Suguru, Atsumu, and Osamu are forced back together in the face of tragedy and must finally confront the ghosts of their past. Some of those ghosts still lurk in their minds, while others may actually be stalking within the shadows. ============================== Be mindful of the dates because there are several flashbacks. This is somehow related to my first story, "Don't Look Now" and my third story, "The Mysterious Mr. Takeshi." The story took place when our beloved "Haikyuu!!" characters are already adults, mostly late 20s, working as professionals, some are engaged, married, divorced, some have kids, etc. Some characters know each other like their relationship in the manga/anime (like teammates or schoolmates), but some don't. Characters were reimagined as mixed with other schools, teams, or families. Some new names maybe mentioned but mostly names of their children and only a product of the author's imagination. This isn't finished yet. It's inspired by numerous scary movies and TV shows the writer had watched, a book she had read and of course, "Haikyuu!!" By the way, the writer of this story doesn't own "Haikyuu!!" or any of the characters in it. "Haikyuu!" is created by Haruichi Furudate. This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents are either the products of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. The writer used the characters' first names, example, instead of "Kuroo," the name "Tetsurou" is used. The writer will mention the TV series, movies and book she got inspiration from at the end of the story.

A retelling of an old legend from Roche Rock, Cornwall, England, from the 1400s. When a leper named Ogrin seeks refuge in the ruins of a windswept Cornish chapel, the village of Roche largely lets him be. But when a wild-haired girl appears among the granite boulders-barefoot, unblinking, speaking to rooks, and stealing pennyworts off walls-people begin to whisper. She's too strange. Too silent. Too different. They call her Janet. They call her healer. Then they call her witch. No one dares climb the rock - not until a priest is called from Bodmin with scripture, soldiers, and fear in his eyes. But Roche Rock, and the people around it, keep their secrets close, and those who go looking for demons may not like what they find. Set in 15th-century Cornwall and steeped in Gothic atmosphere, The Witch of Roche Rock is a tale of suspicion, superstition, and salvation ... or is it damnation? A retelling of a local legend, this is a short story for lovers of folklore and ghost stories, and tale of tolerance and the importance of accepting others' differences.

NEW CHAPTERS EVERY MONDAY, WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY :) FOREWORD This story isn't about flowers. Or love. Well-both are in it. Just not in the way you'd expect. Jasmine can be beautiful, but suffocating. Love can be sweet, but also poisonous. And memories? They're the biggest illusion of all. Sometimes you think you remember what happened. But what if you only remember what someone wanted you to? When I came to this town, I was just a girl in platform shoes, smudged lipstick, and a clear plan: Clear out the house. Sign the papers. Leave. Instead, I found a garden that won't die. A villa that whispers in dreams. And someone I should've never met. Maybe he doesn't even exist. Maybe... I made him up. I don't know how much of what I'm about to tell you is real. But every word happened. Or is happening. Somewhere. Again and again. All it takes is one step into the flowers- And nothing is ever the same. - Lenka
