‼️‼️STORY CONTAINS HEAVY SPOILERS FOR HAZBIN HOTEL SEASON 2 EPISODE 2!!!‼️‼️ Sir Pendleton was an odd man in 19th century London. Described to be a "pervert" while alive, in reality, he was further from that. Though he liked working on his inventions- or his "machines" as he called them, he also liked to watch people out on the streets from his window, being fascinated by them, and pretending as if they were apart of his life. The streets were a theater, and he was the audience. Even if it meant very personal matters (such as sexual intimacy, which he was rather ashamed of). But all of that changed one night when he witnessed a beautiful young woman walking by his workshop, only to be brutally murdered by one of his clients, yet he idly stood by and did nothing. Since that day, Pendleton lived with sorrow and guilt for not acting. One night, two nights after witnessing the gruesome murder, being so driven with guilt, he shot himself. Many of us know the rest- he ends up in hell, goes under the alias of Sir Pentious, sacrifices himself for his friends (and Cherri Bomb, of course) and gets into Heaven as a redeemed soul. But what if that never happened? What if Pendleton became so filled with guilt from his inability to act, that instead of becoming a vulnerable (yet acting villainous) snake demon in hell, he was doomed to wander his own workshop halls as a ghost? Well, that is exactly what happens. Almost ten years have passed in a still Victorian-era London, and author Emerson Wiles, a beautiful young authoress, had rented the former inventor's apartment, turning it into a writer's haven. Pendleton becomes shocked at the young woman who enters his home...maybe now is the chance to do something... Season 2 episode 2 (specifically Pentious's backstory) physically broke me, so have an AU where instead of becoming a snake demon after death, he becomes a ghost...TRAUMA!!! Inspiration from Sweeney Todd/Crimson Peak

Dr. Elias Roe was once a renowned psychologist, celebrated for his expertise in delusions and fractured minds. But after a near-fatal car accident, Elias finds himself haunted by visions that defy logic and a growing terror that his own mind is slipping. When a cryptic letter invites him to Graymere, a secluded village seemingly untouched by time, he sees it as a chance to escape his nightmares and reclaim his peace. Yet Graymere is no sanctuary. Darkened alleys and mist-shrouded roads seem to pulse with whispers from his past, and the villagers mutter about "the one who broke his own mind." Shadowy figures lurk at the edges of his vision, and an ancient presence named Malachai appears, taunting him with echoes of forgotten sins. As Elias unearths buried memories and is forced to relive his worst mistakes, he becomes trapped in a relentless descent through guilt, madness, and the supernatural. Torn between atoning for his past or surrendering a part of his soul, Elias discovers that Graymere may be more than a village-it could be a prison for lost souls like his. Now, to escape, Elias must face the darkest parts of himself... before Graymere consumes him entirely.

Young Western Victorian women were always taught to be proper--quiet, small, conserved, and hardworking. But for Eliza Lynch, this lifestyle held nothing but confinement. Her days were always the same: Wake up, eat, help her mother around the house, eat, more work, eat, and go to bed. All she wanted was to break away and make her own mark on the world. Gabriel Sinnet's world was quite the opposite. As the son of state-wide infamous smuggler and gun slinger, James Sinnet, his life was always spent on the run. He wanted nothing more than to be a normal young man: to go to school and learn and have a normal life. There was no hope for either of their dreams to become a reality. But that was before their paths crossed, and sent the pair on a road that neither of them ever expected they'd take.

As nights grow longer and the moon shines colder, a writer's words flow a bit more freely. The scent of candles and twinkling of lights mix with cups of hot cocoa, all wrapped up in fleece blankets to create a beautiful composition devoted to the season. This is a collection of short stories composed during the Winter months of 2019. While it may not take long to read, sometimes the smallest moments are the sweetest. "Winter's Nocturne" is a collection of short fiction that encompasses every genre and creates memorable characters that linger long after the story is read. This was created as an anthology of short stories for The Great Wattpad Write-Off, a prompt-based competition where 40 talented writers were challenged to compose touching and well-written short fiction that covers all genres. Done in Survivor-style elimination rounds, the goal was to create something strong enough to survive from week to week. "Winter's Nocturne" was the winner of this competition, taking first place in 6 out of 12 rounds--and finally claiming the title of MasterAuthor. Hosted by @thereadingcafe_ and with a beautiful cover by the incomparable @DeannaHellerErskin, this is a feeble attempt at inspiration and versatility. Please enjoy!

When Eliza Marris accepts a teaching position at the prestigious Marrowick Academy, she expects ivy-covered halls, overachieving students, and maybe a shot at a quiet, noble life. What she doesn't expect are the whisper-thin children, the staff who never age or the basement that no one speaks of. Marrowick is beautiful, ancient and alive in all the wrong ways. As Eliza is drawn deeper into the school's secrets, she discovers that tenure isn't just a title. It's a pact. One that feeds on the brilliance of youth. One that requires sacrifice. One that is offered only once. Knowledge is power. Youth is currency. Tenure is forever.

A young boy is haunted by a dark secret and he is too afraid to tell anyone about his anguish, except a man named Daichi. As Daichi tries to uncover the truth about the boy, the consequences awakens them both to something unexplainable. ============================== Be mindful of the dates because there are a few flashbacks. This is the first among the series of stories, the second one is "Silence Lay Steadily" and the third, "The Mysterious Mr. Takeshi." The story took place when our beloved "Haikyuu!!" characters are already adults, mostly late 20s, working as professionals, some are engaged, married, divorced, some have kids, etc. Some characters know each other like their relationship in the manga/anime (like teammates or schoolmates), but some don't. Characters were reimagined as mixed with other schools, teams, or families. Some new names maybe mentioned but mostly names of their children and only a product of the author's imagination. This isn't finished yet. It's inspired by numerous scary movies and TV shows the writer had watched, a book she had read and of course, "Haikyuu!!" By the way, the writer of this story doesn't own "Haikyuu!!" or any of the characters in it. "Haikyuu!" is created by Haruichi Furudate. This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents are either the products of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. The writer used the characters' first names, example, instead of "Kuroo," the name "Tetsurou" is used. The writer will mention the TV series, movies and book she got inspiration from at the end of the story.
