Full disclosure... I wrote this story years ago during the 1980s when still in college. It started as a class journaling project. As disclosed in the story, the writing was motivated when I attended Kim's wedding, the friend from the story who was Vickie's college roommate and, to this day, her lifelong friend since grade school. There were recent tweaks made to the content, near its end, that were [a]rtificially [i]nfluenced in the style of one of my favorite authors, Sam Shepard. In general, the story is about those moments in life that shape us and is a journey through young love. Enjoy-

Some journeys begin with a theatre ticket. Others begin with a single moment that quietly changes your life. This is the story of my journey-from a child who casually watched a few films on television to someone who found inspiration in a man whose life transformed from actor to leader. It is a collection of memories, letters, reflections, and milestones that shaped my admiration for C. Joseph Vijay-known through the years as Ilayathalapathy, Thalapathy, and today, the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. More than a tribute, this is a heartfelt memoir about gratitude, dreams, cinema, culture, and the bond of an Anna and Thangachi that grew entirely through admiration and respect. Every chapter is a letter. Every memory is a page. Every word comes from the heart. This is not just his journey. It is also mine.

A little book from a 13-year-old daughter to the two people who have always been there for her. This is everything I sometimes can't say out loud: the thank yous, the apologies, the memories, the dreams, and the love I have for my Mom and Dad. I may still be young, and I still have so much to learn about life, but one thing I already know is how blessed I am to have them. This book is for the two people behind my dreams, my first home, my first teachers, and the people I will always call Mom and Dad. No matter how old I become, I'll always be their little girl. 🤍

Jess was not a regular teenager. She stood out from all the others for one reason. Her mom has cancer. And to make matters more complicated she's more interested in boys and parties to realize her life is slowly slipping away from her. Liking him was the biggest mistake she had ever made.But she couldn't stay away. But what happens when she finds out a secret about herself that could lead to hearts broken, tears spilled, and a not so happily ever after. Can she ever really learn to let people in? Or will she find out that if she doesn't she could drag herself into a hole she never even thought existed.

I asked myself since I was in my early teens, " How can I contribute to the healing of the world?" One thing that always came to mind was my essence, my spirit, my spoken words. Whether good or bad, my spoken words express the mediocrisy of relationships in life. From the way we connect in relationships to our connections with ourselves. Since then, I promised to write a book featuring some of my favorite poetry pieces. I write from my connections to individuals' stories as well as my own personal experiences to give an invite that may relate to many others. I hope to inspire and encourage people to keep they're dream alive, spread love, provide peace, and accept happiness. The hardships we face are just a part of the story. Take this as a learning experience please so the next perfect girl that walks into your life doesn't get treated like how you treated me. I'm so sorry, but I'm done." I told him as streams rolled down my face not because I was I heartbroken, but heartbroken and sad for him.
