Newt Scamander has finally returned to New York with his new book, and now after seems like an eternity, the old gang is back, including a reignited spark between Newt and Tina. Not long after it seems like life couldn't get better, questions surface about Grindelwald and his new intentions. What is he after? Is he after Newt, or something much bigger? A one shot where Dumbledore visit Grindelwald when he was imprisoned at Nurmengard castle. ￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣￣ Footsteps echoed along the corridor. Grindelwald kept his eyes shut. They paused, the sound carried the easy cadence of someone who had once known how to make any room feel sunnier. A voice, warm and very like memory said his name "Gellert?" He opened his eyes slowly. The figure framed in the doorway was older-more bent about the shoulders, a few more lines etched into the face Gellert had admired but the eyes were the same: clear, affectionate, impossibly gentle. Albus Dumbledore stood there, the light catching his hair like some stubborn silver halo. A sudden, desperate surge of adrenaline galvanized Grindelwald's ruined body. He scrambled to his feet, the heavy chains clattering violently against the stone floor, and practically threw himself toward the threshold of his cage. He stopped inches from the bars, his face mere breathing distance from Albus's. "For God's sake," Grindelwald breathed and the old name scraped like a confession "Albus?"

*Writing is Paused* Newt Scamander x Male Reader During Newt's years at Hogwarts there was one students he had always failed to notice. Neither were of a social type but even so Newt was very surprised when a fellow Hufflepuff sat alone out in the snow during their fifth year. Something inside him pulled him towards the small figure across the school grounds, whether it was interest or what some call fate is unknown -but it was the start of a beautiful relationship.
