kaz brekker always told himself that he deserved nothing more than what he was given since the moment jordie died and his heart was darkened by the betrayal of pekka rollins and the cold nights in the barrel. he never understood why his crows stayed with him, it was either safety or they pittied him and he hoped it was neither. irina morotzov is the complete opposite of kaz, in all the ways that matter. she cares for him, but the problem is that she deeply wants him to be someone that he cannot be.
