It's now 2018 and Dwayne and Whitley Wayne are no longer students at Hilman College, their daughter Zoe is. Growing up a very different life than her parents Zoe, struggled to understand her identity as a black woman. So when it's time for her to apply to college she chooses a Historically Black College, Hillman. A new crew of friends, the crazy world of college and one epic stomp the yard style step show later, it's up to Zoe to figure out if Hillman is the school for her?

Rowan's life was perfect. She had a great girlfriend, a good paying job, and an amazing group of friends along with a supportive family. That all changes when her mother dies from a tragic car accident. Rowan is later forced to move to North Carolina and live with her dad who she knew very little of. Right when Rowan feels like her life is going down hill she meets the Allen siblings and her life changes forever.

Zoey Johnson wants it all, but we can't always have what we want. Her selfishness and greed brings her to the brink of losing it all.
