Joe Slattery is retired and lives on his own in Schuylkill Township, Pennsylvania, a rural, off-the-beaten-path part of the state. One night he is startled to see a young black man on his front porch, knocking at the door. No words are exchanged, but Joe pulls a loaded .38 revolver from the side-table by his chair and fires twice through the glass door. A police interview and investigation ensues and Joe is left to reflect on what transpired. The town must contend with reverberations from this event. This story is snatched from the headlines. As events transpire, these tangled lives - Joe, the young man who was shot, the local sheriff - try to move forward from tragedy to hope. The story is narrated by a third person voice.

This is a paper I wrote for my junior year thesis. It discusses whether or not gun control will stop the murders happening in schools. Remember that this is my opinion and not hard core fact. The point of a thesis is to persuade the reader to one side or the other using facts and persuasion.

a collection of honest, soul-bearing poetry. these are the parts of high school no one speaks openly about, and they represent the struggles of many students, including myself.

How does Prince Harry's life turn out when he meets a woman that isn't like the others? He wants to protect her when she can protect herself. A fearless woman who couldn't care less about what he is but who he is. Harry just hopes history doesn't repeat. I don't know a lot about him personally. I have a crush on him and he seems nice, but I don't know his life story. This is my first fanfic so I tried, but I just feel awkward about it right now. Please don't forget to comment and vote. And don't forget to read The Shield (Prince Harry fanfic #2) and The Sword (Prince Harry fanfic #3). Also, I don't know when/if I'll update or how long this will continue. I have an idea, but I work on other stories over this. This is really just for fun, and I also need to expand how I write, according to my professors. Lastly, Harry, if you ever read this (I doubt you ever will), my apologies. I'm doing this to experiment in writing for one of my college courses. It may not be great or even nice, but I tried. Have a nice life.

Every day Women all over the world are dealing with Abuse,Fat Shaming,Slut Shaming, and many other awful things like that. I want my words to be a safe haven for women all over the world. You are never alone. People love you. You are not just someone who takes care of kids, cooks, and cleans. You ARE someone who is badass, strong, kind, and compassionate. Day by day women are taking over the world! Feminism is not cancer, your sour attitude is. Have a amazing day ❤️ XOXO, E
