Kiel Jessie Dela Cruz is just your typical silly and pretty admirable, senior high student-a 'jack of all trades'; has good grades; fluent in english; got many friends with different humors; quite good looking, if one must say; and even an optimistic mindset.
And he feels content, satisfied even, with his life. Well, you can't even retort him, can you? He has a rather great life, so it makes sense for him to feel content. But wait, what if I tell you I was lying? Heh.. Kiel was never satisfied, I tell you that (oh but don't be mistaken, the only thing I lied about is that he is content with his life). He craves for thrill, for excitement.
And on one unfortunate and fortunate evening, his desire and wish was finally met-and along with his wish being fulfilled, his views and desires were drastically changed:
A clock tower, one that looked both ancient and modern, suddenly appeared on China. Similarly, 6 more clock towers appeared in 6 different countries-each clock tower claiming a continent.
Along with the appearance of the clock towers were the emergence of the deadly games, the mass extinction of every animal excluding humanity, and the beginning of a new era-a formation of a new world, one that's crueler than the former.
In this twisted world, what awaits in the future for our dearest Kiel? Will he be able to survive? Or will his goal of survival inevitably change?
