Second-year [L/N] [Y/N] loves volleyball. She's one of the greatest players in Ibaraki prefecture, and the best wing hitter for the Ibaraki Higashi High School Girls' Volleyball Club. She's got great friends, good grades, and the National Tournament in the bag. At least, she did, until she injured her knee during that year's prelims. She was incapable of standing for six weeks, and the doctors said she'd never be able to play volleyball again. To make things worse, just as she finished her recovery, her parents finalized their divorce. Her dad uprooted the two of them and bought a house in Miyagi Prefecture, miles away from her once-perfect life, and all the 'bad memories' he says are in Ibaraki. Far away from the people she cares about, and unable to play her favorite sport again, [Y/N] is resigned to a life of misery. Or...so she thought. Until she found out that the boys' volleyball team at her new school was looking for an assistant coach. When her classmate/sort-of-friend Tanaka Ryunosuke finds out she's got experience, he practically drags her to the afternoon club practice and introduces her to their coach, Ukai Keishin. At Ukai's request, [Y/N] signs on as Assistant Coach to the Karasuno High School Boys' Volleyball Club, joining them on their trip to Kanto for the summer training camp with the Fukurodani group- but not without plenty of chaos.
