The classic play, Hamlet written by his true self and he is one thespian genius, Shakespeare. Many centuries passing, he may have met his match. Not one up to par, but close. A class project. Writer C. Monroe offers an idea to the teacher to rewrite Hamlet in Ophelia's P.O.V. It's a modernized Hamlet with a twist and a touch of the author's likings. It may not be perfect, but it has awed many beings. Now here is the one, the only, 'My Frantic Prince'.

OPHELIA~ Hamlet's Lover who went insane from him betraying her love [WINNER OF FanFiction Contest of TriciaDehler's Ichor Trilogy] DISCONTINUED ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beauty is misleading to the eyes of mere humans. It is beauty in which this dystopian world is known for. Though, behind the faces of beauty are monsters. Monsters that appear to help yet torture you even further. Never let beauty compel you. Even as it whispers sweet nothings in your ear. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The world was a serene place until the gods had wrecked it to the ground. Now, instead of tending to their own needs, innocent humans are sold as slaves to the gods they had once worshipped. At the mere age of 18, young boys and girls are taken from their prison chambers, only to return to being used as servants to please the Grecian gods in times of need or desire. Each human is given a scar. A scar that shows them they don't belong. That their lives are worthless compared to the immortals that they're forever held captive by. Each scar shows their inferiority. however, hers is different. Her scar doesn't flaunt the worthlessness she was made to feel. The human girls scar brandishes her forbidden beauty.

Welcome! After two years, I completed my passion project with a meaningful, common-tongue translation of Hamlet, meant to bring Shakespeare to the masses. While still holding true to its original time period and subtext, the modern-day Hamlet strives to introduce people to Shakespeare, and the world of theatre again. Did you know Shakespeare was born into a plague? Not just any plague, THE plague. The "Black Death" ravaged Europe and changed the world as we knew it. You can see its effect in Shakespeare's art and how his works shaped what we know as theatre to this day. Much like then as today, theatres were forced to leave the ghost light on, close their doors, and witness the world became a little less bright. Out of the ashes emerged, what is widely accepted to be, the greatest work of the greatest playwright of all time. Cue Shakespeare! The Bard gave us The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark; a new perspective on life, and what it means to be, or not to be, human. Converting old English and Shakespeare has been the efforts of many since its initial development. With in-depth reference and research, a common-tongue version of Hamlet came to be, while staying true to its original setting. Hamlet is an open-source play, but culturally it's a different story..

Alexander has been kicked out of another foster home, his twelfth one since his mother died and his cousin refused to take him in and he was sent to the states. He has been abused in multiple of his foster homes and is set on surviving his last three years in the system, until he meets the Washingtons and their other foster boys, two of witch they have already adopted. Hey, it's me, the Author! I just want to tell you that I know this is an unoriginal idea, but I really wanted to do this because I read the book, "The Lost Boy" by Dave Pelzer and immediately thought of Hamilton so don't yell at me if this seems similar to someone else's story.

*Sneak Peek of New Book* A prince doubtful of his significant other, a princess doubtful of the life she's leading, and a man who's running after the woman of his dreams. Othello, Hamlet, and Gatsby. Not the likely names of heroes set out in a world where competition is fierce and drama is likely well appreciated. They're just close friends trying to make it through lives destiny has set out for them. They're the most well known, respected, and looked upon people of the whole world. They've got the best food, entertainment, power, and fame. They've got it all, except the love of their lives.

When Laertes found out that his father was killed, he flew into a rage, returning to Denmark with poison in his pocket and vengeance in his heart. Buying the poison seemed very straight-forward, unless he didn't know french. Unwittingly being met by Father Lawrence, and getting the same poison as him, the plan made by Laertes and Claudius didn't go quite how they wanted, seeing as both Laertes and Hamlet wake up 48 hours later. Set in modern times, a story of after the fight. It's not 100% clear, but there is a slight cross-over with Romeo and Juliet, just for fun eh? I would like to thank the following user: http://www.wattpad.com/user/DaughterofProspero for working with me on this, firing improvised conversations back and forth involving the characters, and putting up with me going on and on about this because I get hooked on things and don't shut up about them. She has her own version of this on her page, and I suggest you read it because it's awesome. Also thanks to her for the use of her song, Brother. It made me cry, it's beautiful.

he expected it to hurt more; that he'd feel the blade for longer. he expected the supposed afterlife to be new; there'd be some darkness, then lots of light. he never even considered the possibility- well, let's just say, jumping from the french revolution to denmark during the middle ages was not what he expected at all. ••• this is my take on what would have happened if instead of dying, camille desmoulins got transported into the world of shakespeare's hamlet :) warning: there is no research being done for this, so i cant guarantee accuracy!! sorry in advance for any mistakes, but this is just for fun hehe

It's not like Casey has anything against Hamlet, because he doesn't. But that doesn't mean he'll pass up the opportunity to sabotage his school play's rendition of it.

So this was a narrative writing based off of Hamlet where I had to write an Ophelia scene, I made Ophelia really mad in this, and I got a really good grade on it so I hope you guys enjoy this! Synopsis: After Hamlet's betrayal and her father's death, Ophelia is left broken, no longer able to endure life within the walls of Elsinore. Desperate for escape, she flees into the night, searching for freedom beyond the castle. But the world is unkind-hunger drives her to steal, and in a moment of weakness, she is caught and nearly executed. As she fights to survive, she is haunted by visions of her father and the ghosts of her past, blurring the line between reality and delusion. Rescued and returned to the castle by her brother Laertes, Ophelia finds herself more trapped than ever, suffocated by grief and the weight of her unraveling mind. Drawn to the river's call, she surrenders to its embrace, stepping into the water's depths, where pain and memory dissolve into nothingness. In her final moments, she finds solace in the current, no longer afraid of what lies beyond.
