This is the story of the tv series as a novel. The dialog follows the series, but there are also new scenes filling the gaps in the story. I wanted to capture the spirit of White Collar and the friendship between Peter and Neal. Part 2 starts with "Threads" and ends with "the Portrait".

Being chained to somebody isn't exactly an ideal situation. Especially when the person you're chained to is the one person on the planet who could destroy your entire life. Literally. Yet Light Yagami finds himself stuck in that exact situation. And not only is he chained to such a person (the great detective, L), but slowly he's finding it more and more difficult to stay distanced from the man. That tends to happen when you get to learn a person's little quirks, he's noticed. So many heated moments are shared between the two, both attracted, both afraid. Will one simple slip-up be the start of something new for the both of them?

The story follows the life of David, a young man whose reckless and unusual past (previously being the spotlight of his team mates and coworkers), made him want to be alone for the rest of his life; before, following his life principles where he devoted to protect those whom he cared, he now finds himself in a dead end with no one to protect or care for, (living with apparently no goal in his life), until an unexpected meeting happens with someone who might change it all and again, he might live once again for said principles he abandoned, however David finds himself reluctant to help this person even when he promised to help those who needed a helping hand and this person is one of these. Why is this? Could it be the result of a series of unfortunate episodes in his life or maybe the young man just got tired of fighting for his principles and the cause he once used to believe and fight for? Now, the two have to be with each other 24/7, finding out who their enemy really is, and finding out just how similiar to each other they really are.

He is Greg, a patient living in Chicago. He has a hospital bracelet and a pack of bandages. He then wakes up in an old rundown hospital with no memory of how he got there. He takes a look around the room and sees a few things that remind him of his past life: A dresser with some clothes on it; a chair with a broken arm; and a bookcase full of medical books.
