Roxane, a 16-year-old girl, lives in Europe where she enjoys a balanced life surrounded by her friends, her boyfriend, and everything she knows. But in January, everything changes: her parents have to move to Los Angeles for work, and Roxane is forced to leave it all behind. Thrown into a completely new world, far from the people she loves, Roxane struggles to adjust. Once a studious and outgoing student, her grades begin to drop, and her spark fades. Little by little, she shuts herself off, loses confidence, and dark thoughts start to take over. Just as she hits rock bottom, an unexpected encounter changes everything.
