This is the tortoise side of the story I imagined.

The house everyone hated. For the first time, Joshua and Markl are at a loss to do when the strange little girl Alice forces them into playing a very dangerous game if they want Sharon back. But they're not the only victims. There are others forced into games, some knowing they're playing and others not, but they all have their own goals. The only question is if Alice is prepared to give them a winning chance.

Exactly what it says on the tin! @March-Hare and I make the designs for the characters in our book, and I decide to draw them should I get the chance! This'll basically be random illustrations of additional characters besides the main cast (maybe) and more than one illustration of the main cast.

Said book was written by Melissa Meyers, and is very interesting and capturing. I highly recommend you read it.

The Vedic literatures are taught in higher planets also, as there is reference in the Bhagavad-gita (4.1) about the teachings to the sun-god (Vivasvan) by the Lord, and such lessons are transferred by disciplic succession, as it was done by the sun-god to his son Manu, and from Manu to Maharaja Ikshvaku. There are fourteen Manus in one day of Brahma, and the Manu referred to herein is the seventh Manu, who is one of the prajapatis (those who create progeny), and he is the son of the sun-god. He is known as the Vaivasvata Manu. He had ten sons, and Maharaja Ikshvaku is one of them. Maharaja Ikshvaku also learned bhakti-yoga as taught in the Bhagavad-gita from his father, Manu, who got it from his father, the sun-god. Later on the teaching of the Bhagavad-gita came down by disciplic succession from Maharaja Ikshvaku, but in course of time the chain was broken by unscrupulous persons, and therefore it again had to be taught to Arjuna on the Battlefield of Kurukshetra. So all the Vedic literatures are current from the very beginning of creation of the material world, and thus the Vedic literatures are known as apaurusheya (not made by man). The Vedic knowledge was spoken by the Lord and first heard by Brahma, the first created living being within the universe.

Just when the villagers began visiting the Damson trees, no-one quite remembered. Not one villager could tell you, if you stopped and asked them, why they carried their willow baskets through the hills and hollows by the light of the harvest moon to Taghart Beag. They just did, every year on a that day; the day called Damson Sunday. If you've never tasted a damson fruit then I advise you never to eat them plucked fresh from a branch or you'll hate them. You'll curse their purple flesh as you spit it under your feet. But boil them up with sugar and you'll have summer in a jar all winter long. The villagers of Realaghan knew this well and over two days and two nights they would boil, bottle and store their jam for the coming winter months. And so it was, until one August a hare was spotted around the village. Why is is he here? The children asked their parents. What does it mean? The parents asked their grandparents. A visitor, one old woman replied, a visitor comes.

I was younger and happier when I read these so I'm humoring myself
