Katniss moved away to live with her Aunt Effie and Uncle Haymitch after getting her heart broken by no other than Peeta Mellark. Their group of friends were mad and upset with Peeta, but soon forgave him when they found out how miserable he was. Every night he cried from the loss of his love Katniss Everdeen. Over the years he became an empty shell. In an attempt to get over Katniss, Peeta started to date Delly Cartwright, but broke up with her during the summer before senior year. When Katniss moves back to Panem what do her friends think when they havent seen and barely heard from her for over 2 years. How will Peeta react? Will he win back the love of his life, or will old habits die hard and his player ways cause him to ruin his chances to ever be with her again? Will Katniss's world come crumbling down once more? And if it does will she crack or prevail?

Effie Trinket was the one person Haymitch Abernathy felt the need to cry over. She didn't feel like the strength was in her to survive, but when she awoke to his crying to find herself swaddled in blankets, hooked to IV's and deep in the hospital to District Thirteen, with Haymitch by her side she made a vow then. No matter what. Whatever it was, she had to live. ((The song for this is What About Angels by Birdy. Will contain before epilogue as well, but that'll be a separate book. Mainly focusing on Hayffie. Also, a few of the titles I might be referencing songs. I'll mention you in the next chapter if you can guess the song I referenced.)

This is my day-by-day log. I might miss a few days but whatever. If there's anything that doesn't sound like me, Haymitch has taken my phone. Trust me.

I sit and watch my two of my favourite people playing in the meadow with the flowers, her silky blonde curls bouncing around giggling at her father blowing the flower that she handed him. My other miracle I hold tightly in my arms starts to stir.

I loved her. But her death seemed not real. My daughter is finally old enough to understand what Effie and I were. I choose not to cry, knowing that it will upset my daughter. I have to stay strong. I have to stay strong for her. So I saw this video on YouTube and I was inspired. So I wrote this story. This is a solo story, and it doesn't belong to a series. Enjoy!

Katniss POV: A gasp escapes my lungs as a strange sensation erupts in my stomach, movement. Hundreds of thoughts flood my mind as fear shakes my body. This is the first time it's felt real and it's terrifying. My hand presses to my stomach, the fluttering sensation still present. With this moment comes the terrifying realization, I am pregnant during a war.

A short little one shot set in Catching Fire. Haymitch and Effie forget that Katniss and Peeta actually wander out of their rooms sometimes.

Hayffie, her perspective. Through the years. Haymitch, the first tribute she somehow ended up being the escort for, won the games, and nothing could be better for clearing the Trinkets' name than that. Effie's life could be perfect- if she didn't, and she feels guilty for even thinking about that, somehow feel bad for him. For no reason, of course, the Games are an honour, he should be grateful, the opportunities that he got!, but something in the back of her mind feels bad for him. A Thing she would NEVER admit, considering he's district, how could she! But despite the way she was raised, Effie is a good person, she feels empathy, and it seems like Haymitch changed something in her, something that will change the history of Panem.

Years after Haymitch and Effies games they both have time to recover and slowly adapt to being grandparents as Rose and Fin become parents.

after the rebellion Haymitch and Effie finally have time to sort out their feelings by for each other and start a new life in a new Panem. but every life always has challenges. will they be able to overcome them with the power of love?
