Why is it that when trust is broken it has a considerable effect on the soul, we usually describe the intensity of pain as soul shattering? No matter how you try to move on, you still feel the trauma of trust trailing you, it's hard to be someone other than the betrayed. Leah is once more facing the grim hands of betrayal and this time she feels like this could ultimately end her. Unlike before, where she was able to go on in not confronting it, life isn't giving her the chance this time and has cornered her along with her past to face what she is deeply afraid of. Since I can't tell you what I exactly feel about you, I'm writing it here and hoping someday you'll read my poem for you.

This is a book that will be written for a future me for whom I can only wish for better days to come along her way. I sincerely wish her luck and happiness; hopefully she will find something to keep her going through this life. This is the first, although small, step I am taking to push me to pursue a happy ending and to remind me that I can indeed be happy one day if I do make efforts. As for the title, it means that this book is dedicated to a side of me that I know is hidden somewhere deep inside of my being who is not depressed and who still believes in light. Note: Some of the content may be really dark, contrasting the whole idea of the book, but I cannot help it and, in any ways, I am doing this book so that in the future I can look back at all of this and comprehend how lost I was and how hopeless I felt within myself.
