Quiet, average, specs sliding down her nose, freckles scattered across her cheeks, and a shy smile she rarely shared she moved through school like a shadow. In a place where golden smiles and confident strides caught everyone's attention, she remained unnoticed, scribbling her feelings in the corners of her notebook, dreaming quietly of someone she could never reach. Arvith Khanna was everything Aarvi was not. Topper of the class, admired by everyone, effortlessly confident, with a smile that made hearts skip. The golden boy of the school, the one everyone whispered about, yet completely oblivious to the quiet girl in the back row, whose heart raced every time he looked her way. Then one rainy afternoon, the universe decided to give her a small miracle. Aarvi clutched her umbrella, dashing across the wet school courtyard, only to see Arvith standing there, drenched, waiting outside the library. Panic and excitement tangled in her chest, but before she could second-guess herself, she ran up to him and blurted out, "Aap le lo yeh umbrella" And just like that, she turned on her heel and ran, letting the umbrella and her fluttering heart linger in his hands. Arvith, caught off guard, laughed softly, the corners of his eyes crinkling as he watched her disappear into the crowd. It was fleeting. Awkward. Perfect. And Aarvi couldn't stop replaying the moment in her head the way his laugh had warmed her from the inside, the way a simple smile could make the world feel brighter. Because sometimes, love doesn't need grand declarations. Sometimes, it only needs a heartbeat, a brush of hands, or a shared glance in the rain to start a story that will last a lifetime.
