Everyone on Berk knows the story: Hiccup, the outsider, was killed by a Night Fury. No one doubts it. In reality, he ran away with Toothless - the night before he was supposed to kill the monstrous Nightmare. Far away from Berk, Hiccup builds a completely new life with dragons - but his past is slowly, inevitably catching up with him...

For years, Hiccup wanted to be accepted by his Viking village but apparently he was just too skinny, scrawny, caused destruction and just couldn't do anything the Viking way and he tried to prove that his way could work. But then he was told by his crush that he needed to figure out which side he was on. Well, he knew what the Viking side offered. Neglect, bullying and isolation. Time to go see what the Dragon side had to offer. The Unholy Offspring of Lightning and Death itself as a companion and a large dinosaur as a friend? Well, that's tempting, isn't it?

ITS HICCSTRID!! This has been written over the course of about 4 years, so if you don't want to put up with the cringe writing feel free to skip to 'wait! She's your...' because that's when the writing starts to go uphill :) Most are based during/after rtte and httyd 2. A couple set either earlier or later. Only one modern. The writing quality is all over the place, so my apologies if some are hard reads. A little angst, a little humor and a lot of fluff! Just cuteness!! Please leave a suggestion or feedback!
