What happens when the man you hate is the one you're already married to? Noor is a bright, spirited literature student with a sharp tongue and a hidden past. Azlan is her cold, distant professor-feared, respected, and emotionally unavailable. But beneath his composed exterior hides a storm he never lets anyone see. They clash from day one. She challenges his authority. He questions her every move. But what no one knows? They were secretly married years ago-tied by a promise made in childhood, forgotten by one and burned into the soul of the other. When fate places them under one roof again, old sparks reignite into something far more dangerous-feelings. She's sunshine. He's storms. She tries to move on. He starts to fall. But between buried secrets, shattered expectations, and a love neither of them asked for... will their hearts survive? A slow-burn halal romance full of angst, stolen glances, silent duas, and a love written in destiny.

They say belief is suicide. They're not wrong. Where I come from, faith gets you a bullet in the head, a knock at the door that never ends well, or a name etched on a list you'll never live to see. Still, I believe. So does Basil, my only constant in a world stripped of everything soft. We've been hunted for years, slept under stone, eaten from dirt, prayed in secret, and watched good people vanish for whispering the wrong words. We've made it all these years with nothing but our prayers and each other. But then came the rumour about a sanctuary where the believers can live fearlessly. A lie, probably. A trap, almost definitely. Basil wanted to chase it anyway, because we owed it to ourselves and to the others who share our struggle, he said. I went with him only because I couldn't bear to watch him go alone. I should've stopped him... But now it's too late. ❝Islam began as something strange, and it will return to being strange as it began, so give glad tidings to the strangers(Ghuraba).❞ ‹بَدَأَ الإِسْلاَمُ غَرِيبًا وَسَيَعُودُ كَمَا بَدَأَ غَرِيبًا فَطُوبَى لِلْغُرَبَاءِ› (Includes books one, two and three in The Ghuraba Trilogy.)

🌙 Amanat-e-Rabb Kehte hain... Allah har rooh ke liye ek taqdeer likhta hai. Kuch log bachpan se hi mohabbat pa lete hain... Aur kuch ko pehle tanhaai, imtehaan aur sabr se guzarna padta hai. Yusra bhi unhi logon mein se ek thi. Ek aisi larki... Jise apne hi ghar mein kabhi apnapan naseeb na hua. Jisne aansuon ko chup rehna sikha diya... Aur Allah ko apna sabse qareebi raazdaan bana liya. Phir ek din... Uski zindagi mein kuch log aaye. Ek sachchi dost... Ek naya ghar... Aur ek aisa safar... Jahan mohabbat jaldi nahi, balki sabr ke saath parwaan chadhti hai. Ye sirf ek love story nahi... Ye yaqeen, sabr, hijab, haya, qadr aur Allah ki likhi hui taqdeer ki kahani hai. Kabhi kabhi Allah jis cheez ko humse door kar deta hai... Wahi kisi behtar waqt par humein amanat bana kar wapas ata karta hai. 🤍

-- INTRODUCTION: **[Scene: Morning. Fajr. A quiet room with a window.]** My name is **Maryam**. But most people just call me *"yung tahimik na babae sa likod"*. I'm 19. I wear hijab. Not because I was forced to. But because the day I put it on, I felt like I finally covered what the world didn't deserve to see first - my heart. People see the hijab and think they already know my story. *"She's religious."* *"She can't do this, she can't do that."* *"She must be boring."* But they don't see the girl who stays up until 2AM writing stories in her notebook. The girl who cries during sujood because she doesn't know how else to say *"Ya Allah, I'm tired"*. The girl who laughs too loud with her cousins, and burns the adobo every single time. I'm not perfect. I miss prayers sometimes. I scroll too much. I get jealous, I get angry, I overthink. But every time I fall, I remember one thing my Umm taught me: *"Anak, Allah doesn't love perfect people. He loves people who keep coming back."* So I come back. To my prayer mat. To my du'a. To myself. I'm not just a hijabi. I'm a daughter, a sister, a writer, a mess, a work in progress. I'm learning to love Allah first, so I won't break when people leave. I'm learning that my worth isn't in likes, or boys, or how "modern" I look. It's in how I treat people when no one's watching. This is me. Maryam. A Muslimah who's still figuring it out. One prayer, one mistake, one sabr at a time. **[End scene. Sound of adhan in the background.]** ---
